4-methoxyphenyl-HTI-286, IUPAC name (S,E)-4-((S)-2-((S)-3-(4-methoxyphenyl)-3-methyl-2-(methylamino)butanamido)-N,3,3-trimethylbutanamido)-2,5-dimethylhex-2-enoic acid, is a 4-methoxy-substituted structural analog of HTI-286, a synthetically-synthesized chemical analog of the marine natural product tripeptide hemiasterlin, isolated from the marine sponge Hemiasterella minor.[1] It has a high affinity for α/β-tubulin, competitively and exclusively binding at α-tubulin.
