Andrey Edwards was a human Insurrectionist leader. Born in 2499 on the rebel asteroid base of Eridanus Secundus, Edwards joined the asteroid's garrison in 2517, and was selected to undergo a year-long officer's training course after basic training. Finishing the training, Edwards was awarded the rank of Lieutenant, and assigned as security for any rebel leaders who came to meet with Colonel Robert Watts. In 2524, Edwards was reassigned to Watts' personal detail as the executive officer for the company-sized detachment.
During the later months 2525, and until mid-2526, Edwards recovered from heavy wounds during Operation: TALON, with a marked increase in his irritability and a worsening general demeanor after discovering how the SPARTAN's had left the base. As Jacob Jiles took over the station and began to further isolate it, Edwards, disgusted with the new changes, left aboard a freighter bound for the colony of Glabetov.
Joining the Glabetovan Resistance Organization, Edwards soon became its overall head, orchestrating a resistance campaign that eventually became one of the main reasons the UNSC abandoned the colony in 2536, with Edwards becoming Premier of the new Glabetovan People's Republic. Opening relations with the Victorian Independent State in 2536, Edwards refused any contact with Jiles, believing him to be a manipulating man who did not care for the well-being of other rebel groups.
On Glabetov, Edwards became the primary advocate for the terrorizing and imprisoning of pro-UNSC activists, which resulted on some of the worst atrocities of the Insurrection. In 2554, as the UNSC returned to the planet, Edwards' command bunker was destroyed by an airstrike from a UNSC Navy GA-TL1 Longsword.

Eridanus Secundus Garrison[]
In 2517, unsure if he wanted to become a longshoreman or other civilian occupation on Eridanus Secundus, Edwards enlisted in the asteroid's defense garrison to see if he wanted to do his year-long service and get out to become a civilian, or make rebel service into a career. Sent to one of the uninhabited sections of the asteroid for training, Edwards and his platoon were put through a strict two-month training regimen by Sergeant William Brandice, who had fought in the 2513 Eridanus II rebellion.
