Author's Commentary - 'Cause Dragonclaws is just that pretentious[]
The antagonist 'Ihsam was originally meant to be male. When Stigma-231 joined the machinima project, I rewrote the character as female so she could voice it. Now that we're in a voiceless medium, I've reverted the character to how I originally imagined it.
I've decided "men" refers to adult males of any people as opposed to adult male humans. Using "men" as a stand-in for "humans" is old sexism, anyway.
General Woodberry is named after Dr. Dale Woodbury, who RR planned to dedicate CD to "for being my mentor and teaching me everything I know and giving me everything I have".
