This article, Elysium Timeline, is currently under active construction. The author, Subtank, apologizes for the inconvenience. |
This is a timeline of events for the Elysium project, ranging from the fall of the Forerunners to the Human-Covenant War and its effects on both UNSC and Covenant remnants. In the Elysium timeline, no uber-species will be introduced as the authors think it will deeply ruin the sanctity of the Halo Universe. Instead, it will closely expand the UNSC's role during the Great War and how it affected the entire Human population and also focuses on how the Separatist first realises of their position within the Covenant Empire and what happened to the Loyalist after the war. This timeline will utilise information from Halopedia and its sources. Additionally, the timeline will only rely and focus on storylines introduced by Bungie and those supervised by Bungie (e.g. Halo Wars) and ignores new information from literatures/media developed/supervised by 343 Industries. Having that said, the author has lost his faith in Frankie in keeping Halo from getting milked.
[edit] The TimelineThe Elysium Timeline revolves around the 25th and 27th century; from the start of the Age of Doubt, till the conclusion of the Human-Covenant War which ended on March, 2553 with the fall of the Covenant Empire and ends at the fall of the Loyalist. [edit] 2480s[edit] 2490s[edit] June 2499
The UNSC met and combated a splinter group of the United Rebel Front. Led by Rebellion General Nitro, they took over a planet and it's two moons, turning them into military factories. The UNSC's response? -- PROJECT: ORION. [edit] 2500s[edit] 2510s[edit] Unknown 2513
The Eridanus Rebels had overthrown the colonial government of Eridanus II, and largely controlled all activities within the system. The UNSC responded harshly through Operation: TREBUCHET, seeking to put down the rebellion forcibly. [edit] 2520s[edit] Unknown 2524
The Insurrection is the proper name given to the civil war which was fought by the UNSC and the rebels of various planets of the outer colonies. UNSC Marines held Insurrectionists in low esteem and refer to them as "Innies." [edit] 2530s[edit] Unknown 2537
Spanning over a year, the insurrection was conducted by the URF, raising tons of riots which affected most of the residents of Mamore. At first, the riots were kept under control by riot police and UNSC Post-Guards. However, the URF later surfaced and the insurrection begun. The UNSC was unable to divide its army to suppress the insurrection due to the Human-Covenant War. [edit] 2540s[edit] 2550s[edit] March, 2553The Human-Covenant War ends a UNSC-Covenant Separatists victory. The Covenant Empire has been dissolved after the death of the Higher Hierarchs, marking the end of the Age of Reclamation and the start of the Age of Revelation.
[edit] Post-War Effects
The UNSC tried to re-establish the United Earth Government to its former self, repopulating nearby planets with their available colony ships. The world plunged into the seventh Stone Age; Earth was an unsuitable planet for colonial refugees - whom had survived the Covenant wrath back during the Human-Covenant War - due to the increasing discrimination and religious conflict, the world economy reverted to its 21st century-state where affected nations, if not all nations, had to resort to rationing of foods, increased military powers to supervise governmental structures and prevent domestic violence, revival of religious organisations and the lack of production due to the collapsing market of resources (mainly agriculture). Both old and new UEG members gathered in a World Assembly held in Johannesburg, South Africa, where they passed resolutions with aim of restoring order and the economy of the world. By 2575, the Inner Rim was repopulated with human colonists again. Planets glassed by the former Covenant underwent treatment and terraforming projects. Planets partially glassed were quickly repopulated as surviving facilities were easily relocated and ready for use.
The Covenant Empire was dissolved into two factions after the Great War; the Loyalists, Separatists and the Remnants. This marked the end of the Age of Reclamation (ending the 9th Age) and the birth of the Age of Revelation. Though the three High Prophets were killed during the Battle of the Holy Ark, the surviving Lesser Prophets continue to spread the teachings and prophecy of the Great Journey with the help of the Loyalists led by the Brute Chieftain Cerberus. The Loyalists remained the main threat to the Separatists as they have razed over the Sangheili's colonies and even attempted to invade Sangheilios. The Separatist, led by the Arbiter Thel 'Vadam, returned to Sangheilios along with the surviving Separatist fleet. While the Arbiter discuss the fate and destiny of the Separatist to the Sangheilios High Council, the strategist Ship Master Rtas 'Vadum led a small fleet to eliminate Loyalists advancement into the Sangheili's territory. On the 2nd Age of Revelation, it was decided that the Separatists should forever silence the lies of the Prophets and its Great Journey, thus initiated another holy crusade. [edit] Rebuild Era
The Rebuild Era, also known as the Post-War Era or Era of Reformation, was an era lasting from the years 2553 to 2660. The era composed of the age of rebuilding from the horrors of the Great War which scarred several species throughout the Milky Way galaxy. | |||||||||||||||
