The N'rog (Taxonomically Lacerta erectus; dubbed Raptors by humans) are a reptilian species first encountered by the Nimant, and were swiftly indoctrinated into the Interstellar Union. The N'rog were a Tier 6 race prior to joining the Interstellar Union. They were known for their kindness towards allies and intense hatred for all who threatened them, regardless of their lack of technological strength. For of this, they were respected greatly by the sangheili, who featured a similar mentality.

Although they had existed for millions of years, it had at first seemed curious as to why their society hadn't evolved to at least Tier 4. Further research suggested that their race had evolved up to this point multiple times, only that their natural aggressiveness as well as the intervention of other races has pushed them back to the stone age multiple times. Their homeworld, S'lgtr, had featured a large supply of ancient ruins ravaged by seemingly nuclear means.

It has been noted that they feature a very similar physiology to the kig-yar, which is due to the fact that both of their homeworlds feature low gravity. N'rog are born with wrinkly, folded skin that appears much to large for their bodies at first glance. Unlike many other species, N'rog actually grow into their skin.
