- "The state of war is inevitable in Empire, and war functions as an instrument of role. Today's imperial peace, Pax Imperii, like that in the times of ancient Rome, is a false pretense of peace that really presides over a state of constant war."
- ―Michael Hardt and Antonio Negri
The Galactic Era was a period in galactic history starting from 2582 A.D. onwards.
It was marked by pax galactica and senescence amongst the populaces of the United Nations Space Command and the Reformed Covenant — the Galactic Era was a time when galactic peace was the rule, not the exception.
