The Hades Orbital Support Cannon (known colloquially as the Hades OSC) was a heavy weapon system used aboard UNSC Naval vessels before, during, and after the Human-Covenant War. Often mistaken as a magnetic accelerator cannon because of their similar operating systems, the Hades was designed with the sole purpose of suppressing enemy infantry and vehicles while in lower orbit; however, it would soon be used against a number of other types of foes.
