Halo Fanon:Deadliest Halo Warrior

From the Halo Fan Fiction Wikia, writing 13,004 fan fiction articles

This article, Deadliest Halo Warrior, was written by Ajax 013 and Sgt.johnson. Please do not edit this fiction without the writers' permission.

Deadliest Halo Warrior is a simple concept. This is a chance for a deathmatch between universes, clashes between titans, a chance to send your armies into battle against those from other universes.

The idea is simple. Make a unit equipped with gear from your own fanon universe, your own race etc and then pit it against other users in a battle to the death, to be judged by Ajax or Sgt.Johnson. The victor can enjoy the sweet taste of victory, while the loser can taste lead, blood and eventual death.

[edit] The rules

  • General Rules
    • No Deus Ex Machina. That means, you don't reveal some kind of hidden giant laser cannon installed in the helmet of your soldier, etc etc.
    • Passive Support: In all categories except for War!, you have access to only 'passive' support. Those would be recon satellites, GPS, a Headquaters to communicate, no surprise bomber strikes, dropship with fresh troops, etc etc. Use whatever the equivalent of your forces is or should you have none, well, you should of thought about that earlier.
    • Godmodding. Don't begin to put abilities above the power of your gear, or even your entire faction.
    • Details, Details: Detail the abilities of your gear clearly. If somebody exploits a flaw, don't suddenly bring in a shiny new countermeasure.
    • Hold RB to pick up...: Don't suddenly find or invent gear for equipment. Detail what you have, within your universe, though feel free to pick from Halo Canon.
    • Normalcy: Remember, when doing everything except super soldiers and special forces fights, remember, your warriors are just normal soldiers, sailors and pilots, with their training, and the same combat experience. No heroic manoeuvres, no super veterans, no legendary warriors.
  • Specific Rules
    • Units Numbers and Ship sizes: In order to keep units balanced and fair, your to obviously equip them like a normal unit, equip them with units and vehicles of the same size, and not equip them with ALL elite gear. (Think of it this way, imagine you're arming your forces like WW2 germany. Obviously your representation of forces wouldn't be totally represented by a squadron of Tiger Tanks, or Super Well equipped SS soldiers. It would be a balanced of good and normal equipment.
  • Call Out rules
    • Yes, When we're sober, we might stage a tournament. Maybe. But until then, we're organising callouts. You can point at you the person you want to crush, look him in the eyes and deliver a callout. Of course, you can choose to decline this, but you'll look like a coward and suggest your fanon isn't up to scratch.
    • If your opponent isn't up to scratch in all areas, you can choose to only declare war on them in certain disciplines.
    • Always wanted to see two of your favourite fanon universes deck it out? You can call two people out to fight each other and sit back and watch the massacre and enjoy the devastation.
    • Is this the invite you were looking for?
    • Wether you call two people out or call your mortal enemy out, create a page 'Halo Fanon:Deadliest Halo Warrior/(player 1) v (Player 2) then for each part /(The name of the category, like 'Armoured Fury', 'Air War', etc)
  • Fighting rules
    • Here's the rules for the fight. When you get called out, you list all the positives of your forces against your enemy. Be honest, and any padding is going to get you seriously in trouble.
    • You can choose to take your enemy on directly, in a man to man roleplay battle. Or, if you don't feel your writing skills are up to the match, subject it to a third party adjudicator to write the battle.
      • If you feel even less enthusiastic, or are strapped for time, you can get another user to stand in for you to roleplay.
    • You post the pros of your forces, and the cons of your enemy's, then your enemy posts rebuttals, to challenge these points, which is is decided valid by the judge.
  • Category Rules: For the sake of the numbers, I'm using modern equivalents for comparisons. Of course, a little bit under or over isn't going to hurt.
    • Infantry Warfare: A US Marine Corps Company sized force (Thats 200 soldiers).
      • Special Warfare: For the sake of simplicity a USMC Company again
      • SPARTA!: For even more simplicity, a Company sized force, again
    • Armoured Fury: For the sake of simplicity, make it a armoured company, which has 16 vehicles
    • Air War: A squadron sized force, which is 12 jets.
      • Dogfight: A squadron sized force, with 12 craft
    • Naval Warfare: Use of a Carrier Battlegroup, which is about 13 ships. A flagship (around 3000 metres in length), two heavy warships (around 1000-1800 metres in length), a stealth vessel around the same size/length of a Prowler and the rest filled with ships around the size of a UNSC Frigate, any mix of destroyers and Frigates as you please. However, if you lack ships big enough to fit, you can have multiple ships to fit the same tonnage (two light cruisers around 1800 meters to match a single CCS, etc)
    • War!: For the sake of simplicity, here's some simple parameters. 23000 troops, in any role (don't forget, they have to contribute to recon, combat engineers and HQ units), 220 artillery units, with their necessary support, 550 infnatry carrying vehicles, 260 light armour units, 260 armour units, 90 atmospheric fighters, 270 dropships, of any kind, 200 gunships, 24 recon jets, 2 air control jets, 36 anti aircraft units. These numbers are guides, a few over or under isn't harmful. Add to that, you have a orbiting warship that can give light support (That means, you can call in gunfire or bomber support, but no WMDs or glassing, you haxs). On top of that, add in combat logistic units, if you want. Those are free, but, not available to fight in combat (but can still defend themselves). Infantry can gear themselves up in as many troop transports (Like hogs) as needed to provide transport and any support vehicles (such as ammunition carriers, engineering vehicles, hospital stuff, come free. Walkers, like the Locust, count as one tank, while Scarabs count as eight normal tank units.

[edit] Judges

For any one match, 3 judges can be elected from a select pool of people with a keen knowledge of what on earth this is all about.
