The Heavy Machine Gun-47, also known as HMG-47 or even The 47 is a gas-operated, recoil machine gun, produced by Vanguard Armory, and used by the United Nations Space Command and other military organizations. It is the successor to the decades old Heavy Machine Gun-38, which was used by Insurrectionists since it was very old and hence was available in the black market. It saw great use by the UNSC Army] and the Vanguard Special Forces as a general purpose machine gun, within many branches of military, like infantry, aircraft and ground vehicles.

Details[]

The HMG-47 is a gas-operated, air-cooled, magazine-fed weapon designed for close range automatic fire. It has a horizontal digital screen that indicates the number of bullets left in the magazine, similar to the MA5 Series produced by Misriah Armory. the screen also consists of a compass and shows the current UNSC Military date and time. it can attached with a number of attachment, such as sights, suppressors, flashlights, and even a bayonet, though the latter one requires some modifications. It can use Armor piercing rounds and shredder rounds. Though it did not see widespread use in the UNSC Marine Corps due to the popularity of the MA5 series, it was widely used in other branches of the UNSC and other military organizations.

Trivia[]

  • Although it is called as a HMG, it pretty much works like a standard LMG, just like its predecessor.
