The Ideen (Taxonomically Fabricatores constans; dubbed Forgers by humans) were a mammalian species native to the volcanic planet of Iden. They all share a very similar appearance, and this combined with their general lack of sociality and ambition makes it hard to distinguish them from each other. They make up for this in exceptional collaborative skills. Their skills at upholding a balanced society would help maintain their culture for ages, and inspire other races with communistic ideologies.

Ever since gaining sentience, the Ideen have shared a similar love for constructing colossal monuments and structures, either for art, or to serve a specific purpose. This has been studied recently, and science suggests that such may be genetic.

Biology and physiology

The Ideen had evolved from a thermophilic variety of arthropods who had once thrived around Iden's undersea hydrothermal vents. These creatures would collect and deposit ash samples to serve them as shelter. They would often stack or group their deposits for unknown reasons. The ideen's physiology and biology represents their origin, as they each share very basic features, and are capable of surviving in extreme climates.
