Combat Harness[]

The Kig-Yar Battle Harness is worn by Kig-Yar Minors, Majors and Ultras. Standard armor, it has remained relatively unchanged for centuries, being the same armor used in the Human-Covenant War, and even further back to the time when the Covenant warred with the Kig-Yar.

Variants[]

Ranger[]

The Kig-Yar Ranger Harness is worn by Kig-Yar Rangers. Similar to the Sangheili's Flight Harness, it is completely sealed, no gaps or holes in it, making it air-tight; allows for high-altitude and no-atmosphere flights, using the Pegasus, the Kig-Yar version of the Hippogriff

Assassin[]

The Kig-Yar Assassin Harness is worn by Kig-Yar Assassins. Jet-black in colored, the harness is only lightly armored, less than even the Kig-Yar Battle Harness, but it is equipped with multiple anti-radar defense systems, as well as an active camouflage generator.

Bombardier[]

The Kig-Yar Bombardier Harness is worn by Kig-Yar Bombardiers. A dark green in color, the Bombardier harness has multiple layers of heavy metals, creating a bulletproofing capable of defending against most forms of infantry carried weapons, save high-penetration bullets such as the UNSC's various Sniper Rifles.

Black Claw[]

The Black Claw Harness is worn by members of the Black Claw. On the outside, the Black Claw Harness for the most part resembles a regular Kig-Yar Battle Harness, with only a few differences here and there. However, the Black Claw Harness is much more than that, being equipped with plenty of extra gadgetry to assist the Black Claw in their duties: each wrist is armed with both a small, flick-out wrist-blade, and a weapon, the left being a low-power taser attachment, the right being a small dart gun; an active camouflage generator is built into the suit; a small jump-pack is installed into the back on the harness, allowing the Black Claw to jump great distances (there is a serious limitation on usage due to fuel however); the belt of the harness not only allows for storage of multiple varieties of grenades, but also serves as a small-radius, low-power EMP blast; finally, the helmet of the Black Claw Harness has various forms of visual apparatus, such as night vision and infrared, as well as audio apparatus, such as recording gear and audio enhancers.

Command[]

The Kig-Yar Command Harness is worn by Kig-Yar Captains and Shipmasters. Essentially a Kig-Yar Battle Harness, the large backpack and advanced helmet attached to it are what differentiates it from a regular harness: within the backpack is a large system of advanced communications systems and tactical read-outs, which are viewable at all times from the advanced visual systems within the helmet. The com systems also work in reverse, allowing the wearer to relay orders out to troops on the field with minimal middle-men.
