The M107 Cyclone Mobile Howitzer piece was designed for long range fire support.

Usage

The M107 Howitzer was designed to be towed to an area a short distance from the battlefield by a light vehicle, namely the M13A4 Puma Troop Transport, carrying the 5-man gun crew, 26 rounds of 155mm ammunition, and a Marine squad. Two or three additional Pumas were also to come with additional M107 units, making up a battery.

The weapons was then set up, and fired at designated coordinates once a fire mission was issued from friendly forces in the nearby vicinity.
