Melanie Forge was an officer of the UNSC Office of Naval Intelligence.
By 2554, she would assume rank of full Commander (O-5) and would serve in the Department of Biological Warfare, Section Three of the UNSC Office of Naval Intelligence within Deep Cover Cerberus on Sanghelios. Melanie would become involved in a brief but intense relationship with Wakes, another ONI officer. Although Wakes would meet a violent and heroic end on the fields of Sanghelios at the conclusion of the Common Denominator Conflict, Forge would survive, giving birth to their child.
On Tantalus, she would be involved in a chemical engineering program with James Ackerson on the synthesis of mutagenic small-molecule compounds.
