"Cover Six here. We're ready to rock."
―Staff Sergeant Peter Lancaster to Lieutenant Commander Yu Zhou[src]

Peter Lancaster was a serviceman of the UNSC Army Special Operations Group.

In 2601 at the dawn of the 27th century, Lancaster would be assigned to Army Special Forces Team Bravo-Fifteen, which would be deployed to Dashan to combat the increasingly-furious insurrection on the planet. Through the course of three intense and bitter years, Bravo-Fifteen would be slowly killed off by the Unggoy insurgents, until eventually, Lancaster, a Staff Sergeant (SSG, E-6), would be the only surviving member of Bravo-Fifteen. In their memory, Peter would make seven crimson marks on his glove, in their memory.

Bravo-Fifteen would be decommissioned, and Lancaster would be reassigned to Hellcat Platoon, an Army special forces platoon operating out of FOB Hotel California, one of the platoon's four dedicated sharpshooters. He would enjoy a romance with Sergeant Bethany Sullivan, another ASOG operator that would serve as his spotter.

Operating under callsign "Cover Six", Lancaster's sniper-spotter element would provide perimeter security for Outpost Royal, a UNSC Navy electronic-warfare (EW) outpost on Dashan's surface.

During a routine patrol over Outpost Royal, Staff Sergeant Lancaster would meet a bloody end at the hands of Redmond-M094, who would slit his throat. The young Myrmidon would later be afflicted with guilt for assassinating a member of the UNSC armed forces in cold blood.
