The USSC Prowler has always been about stealth and infiltration. In the year 3127, their role has not changed much. Prowlers are the smallest ships considered “warships.” They contain large number of probes and sensors, making it good for scanning a battlefield or unexplored space. Prowlers also have the ability to turn invisible, and have a layer of stealth-ablative coating making it completely invisible to all sensors, including infrared. They have a little amount of armor and only a small amount of heavy rotary laser cannons. In actual battle Prowlers are almost useless.
[edit] Usage on the Battlefield
There is only one class of Prowler. Since one Prowler can have all the necessary short and long range sensors, having more the one class seems obsolete. Their usage on the battlefield is about exploring the unexplored or infiltrating enemy territory with no risk.
