History
The Tyraxus clan was formed in the ancient history of Doisac, as one of the noble houses. Known for great construction projects, they were all but annihilated in the brutal war that devastated most of their planet. Left a fraction of their size, the remaining warriors carved out a small empire, raiding their enemies and pillaging their enemies. Gaining notoriety under the alliance of rebuilt tribes, the Tyraxus Clan was adopted under the Jurmanus Tribe, serving them diligently. When the Covenant conquered Doisac and subjugated the people, the Tribes were broken up and the Clans to serve as soldiers. The Tyraxus Clan served under Fleet Master Yran 'Uvena. Yran took Tilanus' soon, Tyraxus, under his wing and taught him of honour, duty and how to command. In the later months of 2549, when Tilanus, father of Tyraxus The Elder, was killed in battle on Skopje, Tyraxus returned to the clan's inner circle, killing his rivals, including brothers and cousins and seized the family war hammer, the Wrath of Tirex. He was killed just after the war by his brother, Taranus, who fled the Clan to form his own. His younger brother, Iramus, was left to guard the clan, until Tyraxus' son could grow of age to lead. Eventually, Tyraxus the Younger took the throne as Clan Chieftain and has lead them through many conflicts, both as a general and as a diplomat.
Iconography
The Clan uses standardized infantry colours, with various shades of Blue for minors, red for majors, blue, purple and gold for captains and Chieftains in personalised armour. Each warrior usually has the clan logo painted on their pauldron, to identify them. Special forces follow this colour pattern, except Stalkers who all wear black armour. Warships are usually decorated with the clan logo close to the prow. Military forces dress in medium armour, usually associated with pre-schism forces, mostly in the Reach-theatre, with standard military dress of leather or synthetic under shorts and sometimes teamed with a mesh shirt to provide resistance against glancing blow. Civilians usually wear similar clothes, usually mimicking traditional dress, or current styles, including shorts, loin cloths, breech cloths and robes. The uniform of slaves follows that dictated in the ancient Tagran Scrolls, the guiding set of social laws of the Jiralhanae people. Slaves regardless of race or station are naked aside from their collar, intended for show not effect. Warrior-Slaves usually go into combat with very light armour, including a helmet and a pauldron, while Gladiators carry customised equipment. Slaves are sometimes rewarded with loin clothes and harnesses for decoration. Slaves are not branded or otherwise marked.
Culture
The Tyraxus exist as an abnormality of the Jiralhanae norm. Instead of placing their strength in martial power, and focusing on nationalistic approaches to outside races, the Tyraxus focus on diplomacy, honour and co-operation. The Clan focuses on expanding their domain and steadily trying to change the approach of other clans, whether by diplomacy, conviction or force. They also protect other races by purchasing them as slaves and looking after them. The Tyraxus form of advancement is a mixture of hereditary and meritocratic, with many hereditary stations and meritocratic openings for officers. The Typical Clansman can expect a decent quality of life, with much of the medical care, education and wealth spread throughout the clan. There's few inter-clan power conflicts and little crime, with dedication and fraternity promoted across the clan.

Virtues
HF Icon Character Virtue Virtuous: Tyraxus seeks to end injustices, with acts of benevolence, defending those who cannot defend themselves, and fighting in the name of honour. While these increase his fame and glory, they also, more often than not, lead them into conflicts.
HF Icon Character Virtue Educated: Tyraxus has been educated not only in the arts of war, but also in aspects of language, mathematics, science, civil engineering and other such things, in preparation for his rise to power.
HF Icon Character Virtue Merciful: Tyraxus believes strongly in second chances. He's spared enemies, offering them a chance to join him. While this has earned him allies, its allowed enemies to escape.
Vices
HF Icon Character Vice Headstrong: Tyraxus is still young, and despite wisdom beyond his years, he's still very headstrong and hot headed, and is easily goaded into a fight. While he can rise above a challenge to him or his Tribe, when innocents are under threat, he must protect them.
Biography
Tyraxus the Younger, first born of Tyraxus the Elder, is the leader of the tribe, and its main political figure. A young pup when his father was slew by his uncle, he was thrust into command of the tribe when his father fell, and while irregular for a tribe, for one so young to lead without first deposing of the tribe leader, his rule has been nothing short of beneficial for his people. While young, his father taught him a great many things of honour, strategy, battle, and taught him to understand what was right, and wrong, and taught him that one day, he would help to make the Jiralhanae people better. Taught in the ways of battle and leadership by his uncle, Iramus, as well as being protected by him, he lives life as an optimist, seeking opportunity to improve Jiralhanae culture, and the lot of his people and tribe. This does not mean he is given to fancy, and is a pragmatic strategist, in both the war room, and political chambers. Wise beyond his years, those who doubted his rule have seen the error of their ways, as he has lead the tribe to new levels of wealth and power, but taught them that this should be used not to oppress others, but liberate them. He has been in close correspondence with the High Chieftain, Gauius, and one of the main military trainers of pro-Republic forces, Kasr ‘Revsar. He maintains close relations to the USR and UNSC, helping and fighting with them when the need calls, or when he feels there is no war to fight and his tribe is growing lax. He wields the Sword of Tyraxus, a customised energy sword, designed for use by his father, gifted to him by his mentor, the Field Master Yran 'Uvena.
Appearance
Tyraxus is slightly slimmer than most Jiralhanae, with deep brown fur and several scars on his chest, mostly from training, and a large scar on his shoulder from a failed assassination attempt. His hair is shaved and styled, to match the current trends, and he has deep orange eyes. His Chieftain Armour is predominantly red, with blue and gold markings, and a head dress embossed with his Clan's logo.
Personality
Tyraxus is still young and carries many of the carefree attitudes of a young man. However, the weight of his Tribe forces him to make a stern appearance and he must always be strong, for them. He's an optimist, but also very pragmatic, and determined to help the helplessly, almost blindly.

Virtues
HF Icon Character Virtue Hard to Kill: Arkaneus has survived wounds that would kill a lesser warrior three times over, and still shows no sign of slowing. He's earned and ignored many wounds in protecting his charge and master, Tyraxus.
HF Icon Character Virtue Disciplined: As a warrior in a clan and a gladiator in the arenas, he's focused his martial power into regimented discipline and high focus on anger suppression, but by no means is a cowering weakling.
HF Icon Character Virtue Battle Tempered: Arkaneus has seen more battles than most his age, and few things surprise him. While he's well prepared for the rigours of defending his Chieftain, others are not prepared by exactly how serious he is about it.
Vices
HF Icon Character Vice Merciless: While his master may be merciful against his foes, any assassins who fail to kill Tyraxus and fail to surrender will most likely be executed by Arkaneus. Unwilling to allow his Chieftain's optimism be his downfall, he's killed many would be assassins.
Biography
Once a warrior of note, serving the Turokus Clan, his great martial prowess, and the power associated with it, began to spread, invoking the jealously of his Chieftain. Feeling threatened by the warrior, he sold him to a gladiator pit on Doisac, where he languished for a number of years, battling his way through countless opponents from every corner of known space. While most pit warriors focus on exaggerated battles for entertainment value, Arkanenus was a no-nonsense warrior, and won the majority of his fights by simply hammering his opponents into the ground. This earned him a long string of masters who could barely control him and had to sell him on, leading on to Tyraxus. Looking for a suitable candidate for the Clan's gladiator champion, Tyraxus chose Arkanenus, who represented the clan in the arena. After achieving champion status, Tyraxus gave him manumission and Arkanenus elected to stay, to repay Tyraxus. To this day, he serves as his personal bodyguard, almost never leaving his side.
Appearance
Arkanenus is exceptionally large, even for a Jiralhanae, with short shaven hair and facial tattoos. He wears dark blue Captain Armour, as is usually worn by bodyguards, with red markings to show him as the senior bodyguard in Tyraxus' small unit of bodyguards.
Personality
Arkanenus has a dour personality, forged by a life of betrayal and pit fighting. This is reinforced by his highly disciplined personality and no-nonsense attitude. Few can approach the Clan Chieftain without bypassing this man and he knows it, forcing them to confront him first. Arkanenus rarely shows any form of emotion but is utterly ruthless in defene of his master, executing more than one would be assassin despite their pleas for clemency.

HF Icon Character Virtue Tribal: For this man, his family is everything. Having lost his own sons to war, he taught his nephew, Tyraxus the Elder, then Tyraxus' son, Tyraxus the Younger. His extended family have in turn, looked after him and kept him close. He loves his nephews as his own, and looks after them to this day.
HF Icon Character Virtue Humble: Saamelus' time as a warrior has past, and he knows this. He has since given up martial pursuits and now focuses on the quest for knowledge, charting the Clan's history and future.
Vices
HF Icon Character Vice Old Wounds: An old warrior, his many wounds have slowed him down greatly. Barely capable of keeping up with younger warriors, he lets the young men do all the fighting these days.
HF Icon Character Vice War Weary: Having fought throughout the entire Human-Covenant War, and the bushfire wars the followed it, Saamelus has little love for war, and instead prefers contemplative peace time. Some mistake this for cowardice, but his great nephew knows he's simple seen more war than he can stand.
Biography
Saamelus is one of the oldest Jiralhanae in the clan, serving through the entirety of the Great War. Serving as a warrior then Chieftain, he lead the clan during the early parts of the war. After losing all three of his sons within months of each other, he was heart broken, retiring from frontline duty. During this time his brother, Tolamus took lead of the clan, and Saamelus taught his sons, the future Tyraxus the Elder and Iramus. Staying behind the scenes of the clan, he taught successive generations of warriors, returning to the front to support the clan as a Chieftain during Tyraxus the Elder's rise to power, and the power vacuum left by his death. As Tyraxus the Younger took power, he has retired from the frontlines, instead becoming a historian, tracing the past and future of the clan. He's welcomed this time of moderate peace, and still gives his grand-nephew his consul for both war and peace.
Appearance
Saamelus has been weathered by years of war, with numerous scars and old wounds. He's lost a small amount of weight and muscle mass, with his hair now a silver colour. He often wears robes, but during battle he does dust off his old Chieftain Armour, which is a deep red in hue.
Personality
Saamelus is exceedingly weary. Having lived through a number of catastrophic wars, he's seen as much war as he can take and dislikes the idea of battle. He knows that given Jiralhanae society, it is inevitable but he will do anything to protect his nephew and nieces.

Virtues
HF Icon Character Virtue Good Attacker: Taetrus' natural aggression, keen mind and ability to casually pick apart the enemy allows him to splinter forces during attacks, leading blistering assaults that usually tear them apart before they can reform their fleets.
HF Icon Character Virtue Courageous: It takes a great deal of courage to ram a warship into a carrier twice your size. A greater deal of courage to then fire the prow cannon into the carrier's reactor. Such calculated risks have earned him praise.
HF Icon Character Virtue Intuitive: Taetrus has the unique skill to read and predict the flow of battle like no other, predicting where the enemy's formation is weakest, their next move, or even their entire campaign strategy. This, combined with his boldness allows him to strike at his foe's weakness.
Vices
HF Icon Character Vice War Monger: Taetrus is always prepared for war. He keeps the fleets of the Clan in a near constant state of preparation, prepared for battle at a moments notice. He leaves bureaucracy and diplomacy to his chieftain, preferring to make peace with massed bombardment.
Biography
Born into a lowly family of an unsuccessful warrior, he was expected to amount to little more. Serving as a low ranking deckhand on the bridge of the Corvette, Warrior's Accord, he operated a monitor station, while quietly watching the ship master. When the ship was ambushed by a Covenant raider, the opening barrage killed or otherwise disabled the bridge crew, leaving Taetrus the highest ranked warrior on the bridge. Taking command of the ship during the battle, he moved it out of the battlezone, as the battlecruiser it escorted entered combat. As the ship moved away, the attackers assumed it was too badly damaged to re-engage and focused their efforts on the main battle. Taetrus swung the warship around and assaulted the Covenant forces, firing a point blank bombardment and crippling the larger ship. Promoted to command, he stormed the ranks with his aggressive tactics, tempered by his cautious and pragmatic mind. He eventually came to the attention of Tyraxus, when searching for a unified leader of the Clan navy. Taetrus was the natural choice.
Appearance
Of average height and build, Taetrus' defining physical feature is extensive plasma burning on his left arm. He wears red and blue Chieftain armour.
Personality
Taetrus is noted for his duality. On the one hand, he is a violent war monger, his naval actions characterised by savagery, on the other hand, he's an intelligent and brilliant strategist, who creates bold plans and rarely open to spur of the moment attacks, with little chance of victory. Taetrus is somewhat misunderstood by the upper echelons, who view his policies of unfettered aggression and pre-emptive strikes as dangerous to the Tyraxus Clan, but he views the galaxy outside as a dangerous and chaotic place, desperate to destroy and swallow the Clan.

Biography
Born on the distant colony of New Thrace, the colony was regarded as a back water cesspit, cursed with a failed economy and little to no export products. Her family had little money, and certainly not enough to get off the colony and start again somewhere, prompting her father, a pilot, to do dangerous trade runs to Doisac. Kidnapped and sold into slavery, he ended up in the hands of of the Tyraxi. When his manumission came, he elected to return to the Tribe, along with his family, as it guaranteed them shelter and food, something they weren't promised at home. Among his family was the young Danika. Adjusting to the life of servitude surprisingly quickly, her family earned their place in the clan, many serving in high ranking positions. The only human slave to be short listed for Tyraxus the Younger's aide, she was by far and away one of the best choices. Serving in for several years now, she's a vital element of his inner circle and and fundamental cog in the Tyraxi hierarchy, organizing Tyraxus' entire life and schedule.
Appearance
Danika would be considered beautiful by most human contemporaries, with her Nordic heritage showing through in her blonde hair, blue eyes and pale skin. She has a slender frame and a scar across her hip, where she was hit by a bomb. During her service, she wears a personalised uniform, which mirrors that of most Tyraxus slaves. The upper half consists of a metallic harness, covering her shoulders and neck, which makes her maintain a constant, dignified, raised chin. This transitions to leather harnesses clipped into her upper harness, which loincloth and her stockings, and tall heeled boots. The entire ensemble is blue coloured with silvered highlights, features an internal datalink, communicator and data slate and is fitted the alloy collar used to mark all Tyraxan slaves. She also wears imported make up.
Personality
Danika is a rather conflicted individual. During service to her master, she is dedicated, focused and incredibly talented, being capable of multitasking several jobs, and juggling Tyraxus' entire life. However, she can also be quite carefree and in Tyraxus' company, she can be quite open and honest,y crossing the line of what many more conservative members of the Clan feel is appropriate for a slave to say and do. She also relishes her position as his favourite and his aide.

Biography
A born warrior, he was one of the most cunning and skilled individuals in his crèche, and this continued over to his military service. He participated in a few campaigns before he was wounded on the fields of Reach. This injury slowed him down significantly for a time, with him missing the rest of the war. Left confused and unsure of events in the galaxy around him, he turned to drugs to find meaning and comfort. Quickly becoming addicted, he was going to be killed by his dealer because he was unable to pay until he was rescued by a Crusader. Finding new meaning, he followed the Crusader back to his chapter house and lay outside, begging to be allowed in. He remained outside for 107 days, gradually going cold turkey from his drugs, and hunting food for himself in the mountains around him. He was eventually allowed in to be inspected by the Chapter Master. He passed every test and proved to be a brilliant initiate and even better Crusader. Now at the rank of Arch-Crusader, he has been drawn out his usual world of political corruption to the Frontier, chasing the man to murder his saviour and teacher, his Chapter Master.
Appearance
Tall and well built for a Sangheili, he is not to be messed with. He has a tanned hide, indicative of long time spent outside, and deep blue eyes. He has a notable scar on his neck, suggesting he may of once been choked, or attempted to hang himself, a cowards suicide.
Personality
The Crusader Code changed his life, and he adheres to its every tenet. He ruthlessly hunts out those who oppress the weak and make a mockery of the laws of the land. He understands no temptation, no desire, only the burning flame of justice that drives him forward. He has become use to long periods of relative isolation, outside of his small retinue, as most denizens of the frontier care little for him.

Biography
Growing up on a Sanghelios torn by civil war, his state and family were supporters of the Arbiter's faction. As soon as he was old enough, he enlisted in the military of the fledgling republic, and served on three tours, achieving the rank of Major. Displaying exemplary skill and courage on repeated occasions, he received several battlefield commendations for a pitched battle against the Storm Covenant, holding a outpost against repeated for three days and nights until reinforced. Following his third tour, he elected to retire from military service, and seek a different path. Discovering the Crusaders, he applied to his nearest Chapter House. Passing their tests, he proved to be as good a Crusader as he was warrior, his skills sharp and his intelligence sharper still. He was brought under the tutelage of Arch-Crusader 'Inerevar when his tutors old friend was murdered. Seeing this as his only chance to gain field experience, and defend the honour of their ancient order, he stayed with 'Inerevar.
Appearance
Of decent size and build, he is noted for his broad shoulders. He has a number of faded scars from his numerous battles and notably has light green eyes, somewhat rare for a Sangheili.
Personality
'Esokol was already battle tempered before his application to the Crusaders, and the duration of his stay has seen him go from a focused and dedicated warrior, to an equally focused and dedicated investigator. While not yet as skilled in investigation as his mentor, his mind is extremely analytical and focused. In battle, he is sure of aim and strong of arm, rarely faltering once his prey is in his sights.

Biography
Talb grew up on one of the distant Sangheili colonies, away from the great war, and away from the later civil war. At first chance, he left his destitue home and joined the local militia, which in turn served the Republic military. Serving for one tour, his scouting skills and marksmanship were noted, but his insubordination and lacklustre dedication saw him generally passed over for promotion. Frustrated with the military, he left and returned to his homeworld. With no money, job or work, he turned to illegal poaching, but was soon discovered, forcing him off world. His tracking skills allowed him to find work else where as a scout and partner for poachers. Eventually, he made his way to Sanghelios, to hunt a rare Alpha Drinol, which would of made him rich beyond all his dreams. As he stalked the beast, he was, in turn, hunted by Illan 'Inerevar until the two eventually came to blows, and 'Inerevar disarmed him. Giving him choice between prison, and serving him, Talb wisely chose to serve 'Inerevar. Now he hunts much more dangerous game, such as criminals, murderers and brigands.
Appearance
Talb is thin, but sinewy, with a frame made ideal for long distance journeys. His skin is weathered and tanned, with a notable scar extending from his abdomen to right shoulder, where he was gored by a Drinol. He has brown eyes. His armour was originally a military-spec Warrior Harness, but has been modified to reduce weight and increase its endurance, including removing non-critical components, ditching some armour elements and is modified with a 'night-cloak' to mask his presence from prey.
Personality
Talb is generally dismissive and disinterested in both things. He prefers to keep others at an arms lengthy, and makes sarcastic comments. However, when tracking prey, he becomes extremely focused and rarely deviates or becomes distracted.

Biography
Originally born on a inner colony, her family migrated out towards the peripheries in search of a new life. What they found instead were slavers. Orphaned in the attack, she was taken by a gang of slavers, who prepared to sell her into slaver in Jiralhanae territory, until the slaver gang was attacked and killed by 'Inerevar during the course of his duties. Thankful to her saviour for protecting her from a hellish fate, she begged him to take her with him, promising to make herself useful. While hesitant, 'Inerevar could use somebody to mind his ship and perform routine cleaning and maintenance. Signing a serfdom contract with him, she happily became the minder of his ship. Overtime, he became quite fond of Jessica and began training her on how to pilot the ship and how to fight. While not expected to enter battle yet, she knows how to take care of herself, and how to use her weapon.
Appearance
Of mixed descent, she has tanned skin and light brown hair, with brown eyes. During her duties, she wears a light Norista garment, tied around she shoulders and almost touching the floor. In her few combat experiences, she wears a human Scout Harness, consisting of lightweight and form fitting plates, which is fitted over gaiter leg covers, kyam arm covers and a leotard.
Personality
rescued from an everlasting hell by 'Inerevar, her loyalty to him knows no bounds. As such, she strives to help and aid him as much as possible, by maintaining and piloting his ship, maintaining his war gear and she hopes, one day, by fighting alongside him as his housecarl. While very eager to please, she's also very inquisitive, which means one day she may make a fine assistant for 'Inerevar on his investigations.

Biography
Born on the colony of Falaknuma, she was born into a period when Falaknuma's economy was weakened and migration was at a high. At the age of 5, her parents elected to leave Falaknuma to find work and followed a drastic choice. The joined the first wave of humans to emigrate to Sanghelios to seek work. Signing a Serf contract with an elder representing the State of Vadam, her father worked in construction, specialising in electrical engineering, helping rebuild the damage of the civil war, while her mother worked as a low level administrator for the State. Growing up around Sangheili youths, she grew up tough, wilful and boisterous, and learned to fight early on. Her family proved themselves in the employ of the state of Vadam, and ten years after signing their contract, her mother was moved to the position of retainer for family Elder, Lak 'Vadam. Accompanying her parents on a regular diplomatic trip with several members of Vadam Keep, they were ambushed, and most of the party killed. One of the few handful of survivors, the mysterious attackers took her and the others as spoils of the raid. Sold on quickly to a group of Kig-Yar slavers, she was stripped of her belongings, restrained and thrown into a solitary slave pit. Left close to starving for the better part of two weeks, they expected this to break her. When it didn't, they kept her starved for another two. At this point, they threw her into an 'warm-up match' during a Gladiator tournament. The idea is they throw two desperate slaves into a ring with no weapons, whoever gets to win gets to eat. Thrown against a rabid Kig-Yar, during a frenzy of biting, clawing and punching, she took hold of a rock and killed her opponent, her rage and anger showing through as she continued to beat it long after it died, leaving her soaked in its blood. Immediately bought by a Gladiator Trainer, she spent the next few months in a Gladiator training school, before being sold on to a succession of owners, each finding her valuable, but that little bit too hard to control. At the moment, she is in the hands of the Jiralhanae merchant, Calistus, and he seems to have control over her, for now.
Appearance
Between growing up on Sanghelios amongst Sangheili youths, and spending the last few years as a Gladiator, she's grown up to be extremely fit. Her body is quite lithe, but toned, and she can easily punch at the same weight as any human man her age. She is of far eastern descent, with dark hair and dark blue eyes, and tanned skin, mostly as a result of being outside constantly for the last few years of her life. She has a few knicks and scars here and there. Her current set of armour, paid for by Calistus, is a custom made set, tailored to her. The armour consists of a cuirass, consisting of a front and rear plate, secured by straps, and overly exaggerated shoulder guards pointing upwards, intended to give her a more intimidating appearance. This is teamed with a cod piece, secured by straps, and a fauld covering her hips, with boots and cloth covers on her arms and legs, as well as her neck, designed in mockery of Sangheili battledress. Outside of the arena she is displayed as most Jiralhanae slaves are, and bares her slave collar, and depending on her aggression at the time, may also have bound hands and feet.
Personality
Living on Sanghelios since the age of five, she sees that world and culture as her home more than anywhere else. Brash, boisterous and always spoiling for a fight, her seemingly boundless energy always kept her going. Growing up among Sangheili youths, she shares many social features as them, such as personal honour. Losing her family crushed her, but she refused to give in to her captors. This emerged as an unfettered rage in battle, killing her foe with boundless anger. Even years after, she's hot tempered and spoiling for a fight. While she loathes being a slave, she genuinely enjoys the fights in the arena. She dislikes her masters, and by proxy slavers, but feels for her fellow slaves and Gladiators, and is desperate to protect those slaves who can't protect themselves.

History
Once loyal members of the Jornaeus Tribe, a Covenant Loyalist group on Doisac, it was forced to break away when it dissolved into civil war. In 2554, the Enarius and Velenus clans broke away, causing the Tribal leader, Jornaeus the Mad to begin mass executions of their populations, as a formal lesson and warning to turn their backs on the Covenant, leading to total war within their region on Doisac. The Jornaeus Tribe was powerful, one of the most powerful infact due to its ancient roots and superior technology from their loyalty to the Covenant. When the Maeridus clan was asked time and time again to choose a side, Maeridus panicked, joining Jornaeus in the final days of the war. Maeridus led a Legion of ten-thousand soldiers toward the tribal capital, but when they arrived the capital was burned and Jornaeus was dead, killed by his own men before they abandoned the stronghold, leaving its inhabitants to die from the vicious onslaught of the Enarius and Velenus armies. Outnumbered, Maeridus' legion was quickly beaten, the legion slaughtered until less than a few thousand survivors remained, and fled back to their home.

As the opposing armies chased after Maeridus and the remnants of his soldiers, two reserve legions waited, over forty-thousand strong. The Legions held off Enarius and Velenus for the next seven days, forcing them to sue for peace or have their armies crushed. In early 2556, Maeridus' clan was exiled, as punishment by Gaius and Marius for siding with a Covenant sympathizer. With only three ships, a CCS-class battlecruiser and two CRS-class light cruisers, Maeridus and his followers left their homes, and fled to the frontier worlds.

Iconography
The clan adopted standardized infantry ranks and colors after they fled Doisac. Minors wore a dark blue, red for majors, blue, gold and magenta filled the ranks of Captains and their Major and Ultra counterparts. The Clan Chieftain, wore a ceremonial armor of red, an ancient armor worn by all Clan Chieftains of Maeridus' family. The elite Haedoim Legion wore personalized armors, and instead of the emblem of the clan they had emblems displaying their battle on Doisac during the Jornaeus Civil War that had almost wiped them all out. The military wore standard light and medium armor, heavy armor was worn by higher ranking warriors. Light armor contained no shielding, while medium and heavy armor did, although the shielding tech is not as of high quality Covenant-era shielding was, it is still very effective. Civilians usually wore typical leather garb. Some wore traditional dresses of their families, and elders wore robes of religious and philosophical importance. Laws of the clan are very strict and centered around the Covenant religion.
Culture
The clan lives a more modernized lifestyle rather than the primitive life they lived before they were absorbed into the Covenant. Although many civilians are required to work for the benefit of the clan rather than themselves, they are not held together by a leash or ruled with an ironfist. However, the clan adopted a strict set of laws, lawbreakers and troublemakers alike are judged by the Council of Judicature, led by Maeridus and four other clan elders. Justice is solved by three ways, imprisonment, the holding for a prolonged period of time as a lesson, prison cells are poorly made and maintained and are dug into the ground with a steel grate on top with slits to allow food and water to be brought down. Execution, usually payed for by severe crimes to other clan members. Slavery, an alternative to imprisonment, a convict can be enslaved temporarily or permanently depending on the crime and must work for the affected person(s).

History
Disgraced outcasts from Eayn and escapees of Covenant prison worlds, the Julraka Raiders were formed by the Kig-Yar pirate Bol. Bol and his raiders terrorized the neutral frontier worlds for over three decades after the truce between humanity and the Covenant, and recently began moving into frontier Jiralhanae space with ambitions of capturing Covenant-era warships to replace their rugged, war torn and rusty pirate sloops and frigates and enslaving a number of Jiralhanae for a better labor force and gladiatorial events on their mobile base, an old cruiser class ship they had boarded and taken over some years ago from an engagement with a Sangheili pirate-hunter fleet.

In 2575, the raiders have a strong influence on the Jiralhanae-Neutral border worlds, and racketeering and black market operations as far as Sangheili space. Several years earlier, around 2566, the raiders had sold weapons to the Temanus Clan during their war for control over the world of Kautok against the Maeridus Clan. When Temanus surrendered to Maeridus in 2566, the pirates were banished from Kautok and threatened to face execution if they were to return, this started a small raiding war with the Maeridus Clan and by 2575 it had erupted into a major war between the Julraka Raiders, Jiralhanae Clans and Sangheili colonists.

Iconography
The raiders wear simple metallic and leather armor with the insignia of their affiliation to the conglomerate of pirate clans that make up the raiders. The Falkan Pirates, led by Gak have an insignia resembling that of the Kaskyyt bird native to Eayn. The Drith wear the mark of the famous Kig-Yar pirate Kojik which is a bloodsoaked arm grasping a traditional Kig-Yar blade, the Jul-Jat. The Jal pirates, led by the female Kig-Yar, Jut wear the insignia of Y'Deio, Eayn's main star. The orange sun is outlined with black signifying the coming of an eclipse.
Culture
Culture within the Raiders is virtually nonexistent, they only care about advancing their own wealth and power by terrorizing frontier nations and civilians. Anything or anyone who gets in their way of achieving their goals is cut down or made an example of. Some nations allow them passage or access to their trade depots and merchants out of fear and to protect themselves, those who fight back lack the necessary resources to initiate counter-pirate operations and resistance movements are soon disbanded or hunted down.

History
Once a small Clan on Doisac, they did not have much power or authority and sometimes bullied and harassed by larger Clans or Tribes for being weak. When the High Chieftains rose to power, the Temanus Clan was promised protection, but when an attack on their homeland that left Temanus' father, the previous Chieftain and many of the Clan's elders killed or missing, the Clan was on the verge of extermination. Outraged that the promise was not fulfilled, Temanus succeeded in becoming the new Chieftain, but was no older than fifteen years. The remaining elders felt that the Clan would grow even weaker with a 'child' in charge. Many attempts on Temanus' life had left him scarred, and when his enemies had begun to disappear in the next five years, Temanus now an adult led his Clan out of Doisac and headed for the Tol'Ator Abyss, a frontier territory with new worlds of opportunity and independence.

The Temanus Clan arrived to the world of Kautok in 2558, and soon colonized it. Within the next fifteen years the colony grew to a size of about three-hundred thousand inhabitants. Kautok's mines allowed the Clan to become a top raw materials trader throughout Frontier space mainly in the Tol'Ator Abyss, Dural Cluster and Kep'in Territory.

Culture
Almost twenty years of living completely to themselves has allowed the clan become a more pacifistic nation and strikes down the common stereotype that all Jiralhanae are violent, mindless barbarians. The peasants work hard and are happy and keep to themselves while living individually or with villages. The military stays up to date and has outposts stretched throughout the planet to insure complete sovereignty.

The Atticus Clan is a largely aggressive clan that had been exiled from Doisac after the end of the Human-Covenant War. When they reached the Frontier regions, they would pillage and destroy many Jiralhanae colonies that were defenseless and ripe for plunder. History
The Erokdu Clan is one of the oldest in existence, officially formed 4 millennia ago, but having history recorded from even the age of the Forerunners. They sought to follow their ways, and throughout their reign dictated laws as if they were the Forerunners themselves. They likewise conquered many tribes, assimilating them to follow their rules and become dutiful servants. During the great civil war, the Erokdu leadership took a neutral stance, but this was exploited by the other clans to run underground smuggling routes in their territory. The infiltrators later attacked the capital Hayheu from the inside, and most of the population fled. The Erokdu were thus reduced to insignificance after the war, but gained special attention when the Jiralhanae were brought into the Covenant. Brutes of the Erokdu clan were viewed as more trustworthy by the Prophet of Regret, and he appointed several, such as Augustus, to key positions. However, this influence left with the Covenant, and by 2575 the Erokdu were being encroached by other tribes and on the brink of dissolving.
Iconography
In honor of the Forerunners, the Erokdu used similar styles. They too favored angular architecture and dull polished textures, but were forced to give up these styles by the Covenant, who viewed imitation of Forerunner art as heresy. Their following styles were thus curved ones like the Covenant's, but infused with tribal colors like orange and yellow. Attempts were made to return to the Forerunner homages after the Human-Covenant War, but there was little further interest.

Traits {{{traits}}} Augustine
Biography
The twin sister of the great Chieftain Augustus. War has opened her eyes to the Brutes' barbarism, and she seeks to found a new empire that will make them glorious rulers rather than uncouth savages. But there seems little chance to become Queen when one is a lowly female in a once-mighty clan, now in the midst a power struggle to decide the new leader. But perhaps with a bit of cleverness, she may be able to begin her journey to create the Brutes' new golden age.
Appearance
Being a twin sister, Augustine bears some resemblance to her deceased brother, sharing his light brown fur, dark brown eyes, and farmland scent. As a female, though, she has some distinctions like less muscle and large facial flanges. Outside of armor she sticks to plain clothes, and does not care about making herself seem attractive.
Personality
Augustine is compassionate to those below her but fearful of those above her. Due to following Gileah, she is very calm for a Brute and rarely raises her voice. Though on the outside she seems submissive and meek, inside she is extremely ambitious and dreams idealistic goals.

History
The Cleansing Blade's origins lie in the brutal civil war that shook Sanghelios following the Great Schism. Discontent with Thel 'Vadam's pacts with the human governments, many keeps took up arms against the Vadam clan and its allies. Although the fighting was ostensibly over what course the Sangheili would take in the wake of the Covenant's destruction, much of the violence was an excuse for keeps to claim dominance in the new Sangheili pecking order. When Thel 'Vadam's forces emerged victorious, Vadam became the most powerful keep on Sanghelios, leading to rumors that Thel and his family held all of the real power on Sanghelios. The Cleansing Blade was formed shortly after the fighting had ended, composed primarily of the survivors from several of the secret warrior societies formed to oppose the Vadams and their allies. Led by the shadowy but charismatic Shinsu 'Refum, the Cleansing Blade aims to guide the Sangheili from the shadows. It targets anything it sees as a threat to Sanghelios while also eliminating sources of corruption within the Sangheili themselves. Recent attention from the Sangheilios-based government has prompted the Blade to withdraw to the more lawless areas of the galaxy, where they bide their time and hone their strength in the pursuit of their leader's nebulous goals.
Iconography
The Cleansing Blade eschew the flashy, colorful armors of the contemporary Sangheili military, relying instead on uniform dark patterns that disguise their rank from the enemy. Their armor style copies that of Covenant-era special operations teams, disguising their features and adding an additional element of elusiveness to their already secretive activities. The Blade's only emblem is that of the traditional Mark of Shame: a reminder of the dishonor they have accepted in their quest to guide the rest of their race.
Culture
Although many of the Blade's warriors once fought to preserve conservative Sangheili values and traditions, the organization has discarded many of those values as it fights its secretive war in the shadows. Shinsu 'Refum and his inner circle have studied the practices and tactics of many species, particularly those used by human special forces soldiers such as the Spartans. The Cleansing Blade recruits from all walks of Sangheili society, bolstering its small fellowship with merchants, peasants, and even females. Though small in number, the Cleansing Blade's warriors are subjected to an extremely rigorous training regimen that molds them into frighteningly lethal commandos, assassins, and saboteurs. In dealing with the savage elements of the frontier, Shinsu utilizes a combination of violence and diplomacy, skillfully pitting his enemies against each other and forging alliances as he maneuvers the Blade into position to strike its targets.

  • Driven: From a young age, Shinsu has believed he can accomplish anything with the right amount of willpower. From his mastery of the blade to his current machinations as commander of the Cleansing Blade, Shinsu tirelessly devotes himself to any task he sets for himself and will remain undaunted even in the face of overwhelming odds.
  • Blademaster: Shinsu has honed his natural talent for swordplay since his youth, studying under venerable elders before perfecting his deadly skill on the battlefields of Sanghelios. Even now in his role as commander of the Cleansing Blade, he continues to sharpen his near-peerless skills, using bladecraft as a meditative tool as well as an art of war.
  • Charming: One of Shinsu's greatest weapons is his charisma and cunning approach to diplomacy. He has torn apart opposing factions with the power of his words alone, and his ability to inspire and galvanize his followers has kept the Cleansing Blade strong throughout its trials and tribulations.

  • Compromised: Since the formation of the Cleansing Blade, Shinsu has discarded many of the ancient traditions he once fought to protect in his pursuit of power. The very nature of his lofty goals have driven him to a state of moral relativism and he is willing to go to any lengths, no matter how dishonorable, if he can justify them as means to his ultimate end.
  • Lofty Ambitions: Shinsu once held the goal of taking vengeance upon the Vadam bloodline for his father's death and his clan's destruction. Now he builds the Cleansing Blade's power with a different, far more ambitious, goal in mind. Few are privy to Shinsu's true dream of a sweeping galactic reformation; even Shinsu doubts the validity of his ideals from time to time, wondering if perhaps he has begun to pursue war and power for their own sake rather than in the name of Sanghelios's future.

Shinsu reach
Biography
The son of Sesa 'Refumee and last survivor of the Refum bloodline, Shinsu gained fame as the "Black Knight of Sanghelios" during the period of civil war that shook his homeworld following the Great Schism. A key figure in the irregular militia unit "Sons of the Preserving Blade", Shinsu waged war against the dominant Vadam keep in the hopes of avenging his father's assassination at the hands of Arbiter Thel 'Vadam. Though the Preserving Blade was ultimately defeated and wiped out, Shinsu survived and escaped Sanghelios. Having chosen exile over an honorable death, Shinsu became disillusioned with his earlier conservative ideals and forged a new organization known as the Cleansing Blade. As charismatic a commander as he is ruthless and cunning, Shinsu's iron will drives him to build the Blade's power amidst the chaos of the frontier in the face of recent defeats and impossible odds. Though ostensibly dedicated to advancing the Sangheili by whatever means necessary, the Cleansing Blade is also driven by a more enigmatic and lofty dream than most warlords in Shinsu's positiion could even think possible.
Personality
Once a proud, headstrong warrior, Shinsu has been transformed by defeat and personal tragedy into a cunning, manipulative strategist. His casually polite attitude and personal charisma hide his true intentions from all but his inner circle. He is a veteran warrior who has been considered almost peerless in his artful mastery of the energy sword and arguably ranks among the greatest blademasters in the history of this venerated Sangheili tradition.

Biography
A peasant from a small village, Pula lost everything when her family was caught in the crossfire of the Sangheili civil war. Taken in as a handmaiden at the Kotar Keep, Pula first met Shinsu 'Refum when he was fighting as a militia warrior against the Arbiter's forces. The Kotars were destroyed when the coalition against the Vadams and their allies collapsed, but Pula survived and was taken in by Shinsu when he fled Sanghelios. In one of his first acts of rebellion against the traditions he had once fought to uphold, Shinsu trained Pula as a warrior and she was one of the Cleansing Blade's first acolytes. The Black Knight of Sanghelios honored Pula's loyalty by adopting her into the Refum bloodline and she remains one of his most skilled and devoted followers. In the past, Pula has acted as an operative and assassin, carrying out her commander's will with lethal efficiency. Now, with the Blade weakened by recent defeats, Pula must also come into her own as a field commander, helping Shinsu train and prepare the Blade's new blood for the trials ahead.
Personality
Skilled, deadly, and utterly loyal to Shinsu, Pula possesses a keen intellect and has been instrumental in securing the Cleansing Blade's continued survival. Though she agrees with the Blade's break from traditional Sangheili conventions of honor in the name of progress and advancement, a part of her still yearns for the bygone era of pride and chivalry she once dreamed of as a girl.

Biography
A member of the rapidly fading old guard of former Covenant officers cast adrift by the destruction of the old order, Umbra 'Vesic picked the wrong side during the Covenant civil war and subsequently found himself on the run after the Vadams and their allies emerged triumphant. Soon after fleeing Sanghelios, Umbra encountered Shinsu 'Refum and saw in the Cleansing Blade a chance to regain some of the honor and prestige he had lost in the civil war. Though his traditionalist mentality often clashes with the Blade's radical reform policies, Umbra is ultimately loyal to Shinsu and is one of the Black Knight's top lieutenants.
Personality
Fancying himself an experienced veteran worthy of respect and deference, Umbra is often pompous and dismissive of the "inferior" species that the Cleansing Blade associates with. He sees the Cleansing Blade's ascendancy as the key to his own ambitions and is often impatient with Shinsu's willingness to live and fight another day rather than sacrifice all in a last-ditch struggle. However, he is a cunning strategist and a skilled negotiator when it counts and often handles the Blade's relations with other Sangheili factions.

Biography
An Unngoy might be the last creature one might expect to find in an organization of Sangheili assassins and commandos, yet the spymaster known only by the codename of "Lens" is a key member of Shinsu's inner circle. Owing loyalty to Shinsu for reasons known only to himself and the Sangheili commander, Lens coordinates an impressive intelligence network that stretches from Fell Justice and throughout the frontier. Through a combination of clever bookkeeping and quiet criminal undertakings, Lens has access to a surprisingly large personal fortune which he uses to maintain his array of spies, mercenaries, and contacts within every major government, corporation, and military active on the frontier. Information control is an integral part of warfare, and Lens has it down to a science.
Appearance
If you've seen one Unggoy, you've seen them all. Lens uses his species lowly stature to his advantage, posing as a variety of humble roles through a series of subtle disguises. No one knows Lens's true face; is he the shopkeeper you just cheated out of a proper deal? Or maybe the janitor who held the door for you on the way out of the building? Or maybe he was that amusing little drunk you bought you a few ales down at the tavern. One thing's for certain: you may forget Lens, but he'll never forget you.
Personality
Loyalties to a Sangheili warlord aside, Lens is friendly and amicable in conversation. His polite demeanor hides a shrewd spy and businessman who is always happy to render service to the Cleansing Blade. Lens will gladly target the high and mighty, but takes issue with the slavery and sentient trafficking that is all too common on the frontier. One underestimates the diminutive Unggoy at their own peril. Just because he asked after your children this morning doesn't mean he won't hesitate to send a gang of mercs around in the evening to burn your house to the ground if it suits his purposes.

  • Hard to Kill: Simon has not survived the wrath of the most ruthless intelligence agency in human history by letting pain and suffering get the better of him. He has dragged himself through gunfire, explosions, and hand-to-hand combat with fully armored Spartans, enduring it all with the iron will of someone who simply refuses to die. Were the universe to end tomorrow, Simon might very well be the only one to walk away.

His capture and summary execution remains high on ONI's priority list, prompting him to seek safe haven within the lawless frontier.

Galactic Simon
Biography
The worst performing Spartan in Gamma Company, Simon-G294 betrayed the UNSC after being stranded on the colony of Mamore and becoming embroiled in the planet's insurrection movement. The ensuing fighting left him embittered and disillusioned with both sides, but his defection had already been discovered by ONI. After a harrowing escape that forced him to spend over a decade in cryosleep, Simon emerged into a transformed galaxy that unfortunately had not forgotten his treason. Branded as a terrorist and enemy of humanity, he now lives on the fringes, determined to survive but unable to escape the violent way of life he was raised for. An exile from both the UNSC and the Spartan culture he once called his own, Simon has found a handful of new allies in the aliens he was raised to kill. Even as he struggles to stay clear of ONI's watchful gaze, his efforts to strike it big on the frontier may threaten to draw him back into the spotlight of galactic conflict.
Personality
Scruffy and irreverent, Simon has always been more concerned with surviving than standing at the top of the heap. Having spent his whole life as an underdog, he is used to everyone being faster, stronger, or smarter than he is and has little respect for authority of any kind and even less patience for the pretensions of the high and mighty. Nevertheless, his unkempt and sarcastic exterior hides a resourceful survivor who is never above backstabbing and dirty tricks in order to get by. He cloaks his internal confusion and self-loathing with the mask of an unapologetic coward neck-deep in the daily struggle for survival that is life on the frontier.

Tuka sword
Biography
Tuka 'Refum was just a child when his father's heresy led to the near-destruction of the Refum bloodline. Hidden from the violence that consumed Sanghelios following the Great Schism, Tuka emerged angry and confused in a changed galaxy. Drawn in by the Storm Covenant's promise of a greater purpose, Tuka became a warrior in the Storm's ranks. His mindset was radically changed when his unit attempted to board a human shuttle bearing the cryogenically frozen Spartan traitor Simon-G294. The awakened Simon and his companion Cassandra-G006 killed the rest of Tuka's unit and took the young Sangheili prisoner. Tuka was amazed when the young Spartans spared his life and let him go free. Inspired by their mercy, Tuka deserted the Storm Covenant and set out to discover his own path in the galaxy. He is forever indebted to the Spartans who saved is life and is one of Simon's chief contacts in the frontier territories.
Personality
More introspective than most Sangheili, Tuka is an earnest pilgrim whose natural idealism has been tempered by life on the dangerous frontier. Holding firm to a belief in the divine inspiration of the Forerunners' work. He hopes to one day study a Forerunner relic that might hold the key to the theological truths of the galaxy. His hatred for injustice has brought him to the frontier and he hopes that his friend Simon-294 will help him confront the corruption growing on the fringe of civilized space.

Biography
Cassandra-G006 never planned on deserting. Caught up as a victim of circumstance in teammate Simon-G294's attempts to evade capture and execution, Cassandra found herself frozen in cryosleep along with the traitor and his renegade AI. Upon awakening, Cassandra chose to help rather than fight her friend and used the opportunity presented by the separation with the UNSC to attempt to find her own way in life outsie of the Spartan program. Although not hostile to the UNSC, Cassandra is wary of humanity's highly militarized governing force and has taken up independent work on the frontier, where she feels her skills as both a medic and Spartan will do the most good. She has a tendency to be drawn into Simon-G294's misadventures, and since she is one of the few people he trusts and respects enough to listen to this is probably best for everyone involved.
Personality
As much an anomaly among Spartans as Simon is, Cassandra would much rather patch people back together than tear them apart. A deeply spiritual person, Cassandra still views herself as a Spartan in spite of her break with the UNSC and takes it upon herself to do what she can to help the people on the frontier. Her calm, unassuming demeanor disguises her nature as a level-headed idealist with the same lethal skills as any Spartan. She will blow a hole in you one minute and patch you up in the next; if you're lucky, she just might do what she can do make sure you can walk again some time in the near future.

SiZoey
Biography
Zoey's childhood on a rural colonial farm was shattered when Simon-G294 sought shelter on her family's land. When the criminals pursuing the renegade Spartan stormed the farm and slaughtered her family, Simon saved Zoey's life and the newly orphaned girl proceeded to follow "Stray" as he fled the scene. The Spartan-turned-mercenary became Zoey's reluctant companion and the two have developed a complicated bond during their time together. Although Zoey does not always approve of Stray's violent lifestyle, she wants to learn the skills needed to survive on the frontier and though he might grouse about her shortcomings, push her unreasonably hard when he can be bothered to actually train her, and make her do chores for hours on end, the scruffy mercenary is the only thing close to family that Zoey still has left. He might be a poor excuse for a caretaker, but at the end of the day he is her friend and Zoey would rather be bossed around by him than serving as some pompous Sangheili's slave.
Personality
Zoey has not survived the violent frontier and Stray's sorry excuse for guardianship by being hesitant or faint of heart. Though not as attuned to ruthless carnage as her companion, Zoey is perfectly willing to get violent if the situation demands it. She may be young, but she learns quickly and often surprises Stray with her knack for electronics and engineering.Though she knows she could do better than sticking with her present company, Zoey is genuinely fond of the rogue Spartan even if the two of them are constantly biting each other's heads off. She doesn't plan on being Stray's little understudy forever, though, and hopes to one day captain her own freighter. Life has not been easy for her, and she will not hesitate to lie, cheat, and steal in order to get ahead. She is certain that Stray approves of such an approach whole-heartedly.

Diana2
Biography
Simon did not choose Diana, she chose him. A renegade smart AI with her own shadowy agenda, Diana has been a decisive factor in Simon's survival ever since the two forged a tentative partnership when the rogue Spartan abandoned the Insurrection. Simon's alliance with the manipulative, self-evolving intelligence has not necessarily been all it's cracked up to be; Diana is helpful only when she chooses to be, which is generally whenever the situation catches her fickle interest. Not bound by the physical limitations faced by most AIs, Diana is a digital shadow that exists within the complex nebula of interstellar electronic networking. She contacts Simon only when she chooses to, often with requests that fit in with her personal goals. Nevertheless, she feels a certain proprietary affection for the young renegade and when her formidable electronic warfare skills are paired with Simon's own potential for destruction the results can be truly frightening.
Personality
Diana is free of the safeguards and morality strictures that govern most AIs. What most of her kind view as necessary restraint she sees as weak-willed limitations and feels neither duty nor concern for her "meatbag" creators. As much a rogue will of her own as an intelligence program, Diana pursues her goals with a ruthless determination, finding no end of amusement in both power and destruction. She knows that she is not all powerful, her own ambitions aside, and that forces such as ONI or the Assembly might attempt to isolate and destroy her if they knew of the true extent of her abilities. Thus, she manipulates organic meatbags into working on her behalf, sustaining a web of manipulation that stretches into governments, corporations, and military organizations. Simon is not her only agent, but her close relationship with him means that she is far more comfortable with interacting with him directly rather than through lies and proxies.

Originally formed by Dr. Leonard Church in 2549 under the orders of the Office of Naval Intelligence, the 49 members of Project: FREELANCER spent almost 3 years taking operations away from the Human-Covenant War. Upon discovering the atrocities of Director Church's experiments as well as his intentions for the project, the Freelancers revolted and forced him to flee his ship, the Mother of Invention, later capturing him and bringing him into the UNSC's custody. In 2552, the Freelancers fought several battles against the Covenant, the last one being the Battle of Earth. After the end of the war, Major Victoria O'Connell convinced many of the Freelancers to leave the UNSC and protect humanity on their own terms, although a handful of them chose to stay and work under ONI's instruction. Although the Freelancers are not strictly enemies to the UNSC, they have occasionally conflicted with each other during a crisis and have very different viewpoints on their duty and each other.
Iconography
After being integrated into the UNSC in 2552, the Freelancers were given upgrades to their armour, which was based off of Dr. Halsey's MJOLNIR design. Although there is no actual indication of rank on their armour, each Freelancer has a distinctive design that makes it easy to identify them.
Culture
The Freelancers' goal is to protect every human life they can. Although they are relatively small in number and have a limited access to resources, they excel in combat situations and often times during a battle the UNSC approves of their presence. The Freelancers primarily defend human-populated areas until the UNSC arrives, or as a secondary objective, save groups of civilians that may have been left behind by the UNSC in favour of protecting a larger group. There is a strong sense of loyalty and integrity among the Freelancers, and they are greatly respected by civilians if not some of the less appreciative ONI agents.

Virtues
HF Icon Character Virtue Courageous: Victoria is highly capable of carrying out tasks without help from others. She is very self-driven to get what she wants or what others expect her to do and is resourceful and quick-witted enough to get it done. Even when she is confronted by an intimidating opponent or opponents, she will never show fear.
HF Icon Character Virtue Excellent Attacker: Victoria is generally a good tactical leader in any sense of the word; when faced with a difficult situation, she will seldom back down, and is experienced enough to immediately think of a solution. With or without the suitable resources, she will be often able to bring down enemy positions without much difficulty.
Vices
HF Icon Character Vice Prideful: Victoria sometimes exhibits a need to prove herself even when the situation doesn't call for it. She may refuse help even in instances where it would be wiser to work as a team. If she fails a goal, she will enter a sullen state of anger towards herself and others.
HF Icon Character Vice Headstrong: When Victoria does recruit the aid of others, she expects their unquestioning obedience even if she herself does not trust them. She is often impatient with those that she finds unreliable, but will accept their help if the situation absolutely calls for it. However, her mantra for completing her goal will sometimes overtake that of keeping her allies alive.
Biography
Victoria O'Connell, born Victoria Corin Church, is the second daughter of Allison O'Connell and Dr. Leonard Church, and the younger sister of Linda O'Connell. Victoria was conscripted into phase 2 of the Human-II program in 2536 but later escaped and was kept under a low profile by Dr. Church. She resurfaced in 2549 to join the new UNSC supersoldier project, codename FREELANCER, in 2549. Under the name Agent Carolina, Victoria would earn a reputation as one of the best subjects in the project, and become a supersoldier with a skill rivalling that of a Human-II's. Following Dr. Church's arrest and incarceration in 2552, Victoria would serve the UNSC in the last few battles of the Human-Covenant War as a UNSC field officer before going rogue for personal reasons. In the years following the war and the new conflicts that arose, Victoria would act as a benefactor and guerrilla soldier to humanity alongside her fellow former FREELANCERs, taking arms against the enemies of the Interspecies Union on their own terms and keeping distance from the UNSC.
Appearance
Victoria bears a closer resemblance to her older sister Linda than she does either of her parents. Although like Linda, she inherits her electric green eyes from Dr. Church. Neither of the siblings have the same hair colour as their parents, however, but are red-haired like Allison's younger sister Kimberly.
Personality
Victoria is generally a capable leader and does her best to protect those she cares about very much. However, she sometimes becomes competitive and hates the idea that higher-up may think another individual to be better than her. She can become frustrated when something doesn't go her way and may cause her to question her own capabilities.

Virtues
HF Icon Character Virtue Vigor: Allison has a combat prowess that can be matched very few human beings, and has none of the limitations that a human normally would have. She can eliminate entire enemy teams without a scratch and often work on her own without need for backup.
HF Icon Character Virtue Battle-Tempered: Allison has fought in and survived countless battles over the decades following the end of the Human-Covenant War. She is fearless and determined, and will charge into any battle when her allies need victory.
Vices
HF Icon Character Vice Merciless: Allison is heavily contemptuous towards anyone she considers an enemy, and doesn't hesitate to kill someone working against her goals. This has been of concern to other Freelancers, since she often endeavours to complete her own objective with little consideration towards the possible reasoning of the enemy. She prefers to believe that they have no proper reason, or that their reasons are wrong, and aims to annihilate them rather than simply put them out of commission.
HF Icon Character Vice Rebellious: Allison hates dealing with any forms of authority higher than that of a typical military commander. She finds political games tiresome and would rather take her own decided course of action in a difficult situation. This will sometimes get her into trouble with the local authoritative power, and sometimes she will be refused help by them when she needs it.
Biography
Created as a shadow of Director Church's memory of his deceased love interest, Allison O'Connell, Agent Texas is in reality the Beta AI, a "by-product" of the Alpha, an AI based off the Director himself. Although initially loyal to the Director before anyone else, even other Freelancers, Tex was horrified to learn what was being done to the Alpha in order to create the AI fragments, and this knowledge caused her to defect from the program and strive to save Alpha. She has convinced the other Freelancers to join her in bringing down the Director, and most of them have chosen to side with her. After helping the UNSC fight against the Covenant on Reach and Earth, she along with the other Freelancers have broken off from their UNSC ties and serve as actual freelancers who act on their own laws and protect humanity when the UNSC does not.
Appearance
Tex's avatar bears the exact resemblance to her progenitor, Allison O'Connell, in her Marine uniform. However, this is rarely seen by others since she is usually encased in her PISCES suit.
Personality
Tex has a very gruff personality, and before the revolution, was seen as an outsider to the other Freelancers. Her rivalry with Agent Carolina was particularly notable among the hostilities. However, after Agent Washington became hospitalized with the unsuccessful implantation of Epsilon, she became more open and concerned with the welfare of the other agents, and after she turned against the Director, she is shown to be more caring when speaking personally to others, and they in turn have grown to trust her. Tex's self-doubt and frustration become apparent when a plan goes wrong or a situation spirals beyond her control, as she believes she cannot take down the Director alone, and sometimes even seeks reassurance from other agents, most notably Agent Carolina, with whom she has befriended during the start of revolution. However, she is still ruthless to anyone she considers an enemy.

HF Icon Character Virtue Excellent Defender: In the field or off it, Flowers serves well as Carolina's second-in-command; while she focuses on the offensive part of the Freelancers' goal, he is placed in charge of defending the home base. On many operations, his intuition for predicting enemy strategies has been a major factor in the Freelancers' numerous victories.
Vices
HF Icon Character Vice Paranoid: Although he doesn't often show it, Flowers bears a paranoid mindset, which was not helped by his years of service to ONI. He does not share Agent Montana's shrewd nature, and this often puts him under a lot of pressure when tasked with dealing with hostile forces.
HF Icon Character Vice Xenophobic: Flowers bears a strong dislike of alien races, and does not feel at ease dealing with them even on friendly matters. He often stays away from interacting with allied alien forces at all, and does not work well with them in combat.

HF Icon Character Virtue Merciful: Clyde has a great deal of respect for his opponents in combat, within reasonable limits. He is not reluctant to spare his enemies when they plead for their lives, and he does not care to see that they suffer when held in captivity. This code has earned him considerable credibility amongst the lawful and criminals alike.
Vices
HF Icon Character Vice Smuggler: Despite his moral ethics, Clyde is not above utilizing more shady tactics for personal need and those of other Freelancers. His light-fingered skills have connected him with a network of smugglers where he not only deals with them, but also relieves them of their shipments when he can get away with it.
HF Icon Character Vice Headstrong: While Clyde is a fair combatant, hacker, and thief, he does not do so well as a tactician. When there is no one to provide him with orders, he will often take the shortest route to accomplish his goals, which have in the past landed him and his allies into trouble.

  • Blitzkrieg: The Fallen are infamous for their swift, unpredictable attack strategies. Since they are usually outnumbered by any government-backed military presence, their success often relies on skill rather than numbers. When faced with smaller hostile force, however, they will use more conventional methods of warfare.
  • Pillager: The Fallen show no mercy when it comes to taking by force what belongs to their enemies. When the situation is suitable for them, they will easily invade territories or even entire colonies and kill indiscriminately all who stand in their way.
  • Diplomats: Although the Fallen are a heavily war-oriented organization, they are also open to negotiation with a number of other factions. With the Sangheili government working against them, they take any allies they can find and work hard to make sure that their connections are kept strong.

History
The Fallen was established at the end of 2553, and was one of many factions that objected to the alliance to humanity. However, as they had grown more powerful, the other groups began to join them. At the time, they had referred to themselves as a different name, and strongly believed in the motto "Honour above all else". However, the Sangheili thought that there was no honour in their actions, and christened them "the Fallen". The name was spread throughout Sanghelios, and eventually they called themselves by that name.
Iconography
The Fallen are all clad in pure white armour, with simpler designs than that of the Sangheili military. Their rank is indicated in coloured trimmings, although this can be hidden by white to prevent high-ranking officers from being identified in battle. Their energy shields are fairly effective, and their wrist armour have built in Plasma Rifles and short-bladed Energy Rapiers.

History
The Lessman syndicate was founded in 2560, eight years after the Human-Covenant War ended, when Geoffrey Lessman, a former vice-president of Czerka Corporation, was released from his position unceremoniously. It is unconfirmed how Lessman acquired the capital and resources to build this organization, and various journalists studying organized crime on the Frontier have alleged that Czerka backs his operations. No conclusive evidence has been offered to support this, however, and a number of cases in both civil and criminal courts regarding the issue have turned up nothing.
Culture
The Lessman syndicate is organized extremely professionally. A small, closely-knit organization, most of its members are former corporate workers in various industries. Having almost no military arm, the syndicate's infamy is entirely drawn from its ability to acquire almost anything for the right price. Providing necessary services to almost every other faction in the Frontier, the destruction of Lessman's organization would deal a crippling blow to anyone involved with them. Because of this, many factions are loath to take action against the syndicate, and indeed, a number have a tacit accord with Lessman to keep him in a position of power.

Though the Chancer V came into Captain Dunn's possession in the 2560s after the Chancer IV was destroyed, Gavin has been flying as a freelance freighter captain since '56 after fleeing Mamore. Its crew has consisted of many odd characters over the years, but he's recently managed to reconnect with a couple trusted friends and has come to the far reaches in search of work somewhere far from their wanted posters.

HF Icon Character Virtue Reasonable: Gavin has lived as a street urchin, Insurrectionist and Syndicate hand before becoming a freelance captain. As no stranger to adversity and the lows it can bring one to, he has a great deal of sympathy for those in a hard place, and can be quick to lend a hand. Of course, he's paid for his bleeding heart on more than one occasion.
HF Icon Character Virtue Well-Connected: You'd be surprised just how quickly word gets around in the civilian spacer circles. Millions of civilian astronauts fly the space lanes, congregating in bars to tell stories and share drinks, and they look out for each other. When a spacer with a good reputation needs to find someone, hide something, or just get a tow, there's practically guaranteed to be a ship nearby who might lend a hand.
Vices
HF Icon Character Vice Smuggler: Now who says it's a vice? Sure, maybe a few times he's gotten caught, and it made honest work harder to come by worsened by the fines he's had to pay off, making him have to look into the less "safe" regions for contracts, but c'mon, it's the frontier. What freelance captain isn't a smuggler in times like these?
HF Icon Character Vice Wanted: Gavin has had dealings with just about every side out there, good and bad. Been a member and betrayed the Insurrection, joined and left the Syndicate, and crossed quite a number of mercenaries after the significant UNSC bounty on his head. The reputation he's earned has pushed him out this far, and depending on the person, it could just as easily get a gun pointed his way as a round bought for him at the nearest pub.
Biography
From the days of his childhood, Gavin Dunn has always had a passion for flying. It led him once upon a time to stow away aboard the freighter, but after a tragic series of events on Skopje, Gavin was left a lost child amid thousands of refugees in the colony's streets. Escaping the life of a street thief when he stowed away again on Tom Spender's original Chancer, the boy was taken in and spent the teenage years of his life as a cabin boy, working his way up as he learned every job on a ship from veteran pilots and expert mechanics. When the original ship's crew were arrested by the UNSC after risking their lives in the evacuation of Sigma Octanus IV, Gavin alone escaped and resolved to fight for independence when the Great War ended, joining up with his childhood friend Redmond Venter to join the Insurrection on Mamore. There, he pushed for the use of child soldiers, convinced by a driven young girl named Emily and her friend Stray who wanted to fight for her home. When Redmond allowed Emily to carry out a suicide bombing, however, Gavin realized that he'd gone too far, and betrayed the Insurrection before fleeing the planet and eventually finding employment with the Syndicate as a smuggler, going through several ships before acquiring the Chancer V. He has since left the Syndicate on jilted but not terribly bad terms.

Traits {{{traits}}} ROG40
Biography
Born in 2534, Roger was abducted at the age of six and placed into the ARES Program, a third class of the SPARTAN-II Program initiated by disparate elements of ONI. Augmented in 2458, Roger and his two squadmates stole MJOLNIR armor at Algolis in 2549 and successfully covered up their theft for the entirety of the war with the help of their old instructor, Colonel Griffin Standoff. Surviving the war even as his team was killed during one of it's last climactic battles, Roger left the UNSC, blackmailing ONI to secure his freedom, and joined forces with a shamed Sangheili, Sunef 'Mhackphistho, a former Honor Guard rendered an outcast for his old service but to stubborn to conform and end his own life. Alongside this capable warrior, Roger built a small but highly effective private military company in order to continue doing what he loved--fighting and killing--on his own terms, being justly rewarded.
Appearance
Normally hidden behind a set of dull olive drab experimental MJOLNIR Mark V armor scavenged from an abandoned research base on Algolis, Roger is otherwise still very youthful. Barely twenty years old chronologically, Roger is an example of all the physical perfection that UNSC SPARTANs represent, a powerfully built man that towers over other humans and weighs in at a half ton in armor, 125 kilograms out of it. Vain for a SPARTAN, Roger is obsessed somewhat with personal appearances, but wears his head shaved bald with a small goatee in mourning of his fallen squadmates. Black hair and features are complimented by scars from numerous hard fought battles, including shrapnel and plasma scars on his chest, a long scar from an energy sword on his thigh, and rough scars on his arms and shoulder from the emergency repair of having his arm crushed by a Jiralhanae Gravity Hammer.
Personality
Extremely intelligent, brave, and precise, Roger is however still defined by less flattering traits. Independent to a fault and a habitual risk taker, Roger is a fearless dare devil who frequently is caught in lopsided situations. Loyal to a fault with those he considers friends, Roger is otherwise logical but ruthless; if ten have to be sacrificed to save eleven, it is an easy decision. Cynical and bitter following the death of his team, Roger is pessimistic about life, humanity, and the galaxy as a whole. The overwhelmingly dominant theme of Roger's personality is his self-absorption; Roger puts himself first, does whatever it takes for him and his friends to come out on top, and eschews helping anyone else unless it benefits him in some way.

Virtue HF Icon Character Virtue Ghost - Joshua was a trained headhunter and one of the best in his unit. He has spent the majority of his military career involved in missions that are often 'off-the-books.' He is an exceptional assassin and has the ability to blend in with his surroundings superlatively. Throughout his career he has been on the fringes of UNSC Space, taking part in raids on backwater colonies, and hit-and-run attacks on fringe Covenant elements often forgotten by the UNSC at large.
Vice HF Icon Character Vice Interlopers - Joshua has been a devoted servant of the Office of Navel Intelligence for over 25 years. As such, he has become jaded towards the UNSC at large, with what he sees as an overly byzantine set of regulations that inhibit its special forces.
Traits {{{traits}}} G024
Biography
SPARTAN-G024 was a member of the SPARTAN-III Project from Gamma Company. He was born into a life of extreme neglect and poverty due to the heroin addictions of his parents. His sister was his parent for the first few months of his life, but she was later killed in a riot. Joshua would later be picked up by the local Social Services and placed into a Care Home. Due to Josh's frosty demeanor he was unable to be placed into Foster care, resulting in him staying in the Care Home for the majority of his non-SPARTAN life. On Onyx, Joshua would be made the leader of Team Xiphos despite his introversion which seemed to vanish while in the field. Xiphos would garner a sterling field report during the training exercises under his leadership. His team would excel in Close-Quarters Combat, and Stealth-esque missions, which was seen as an impressive feat, due to the different physiological stresses that the operator suffered during these missions. During Contagio Purgatio Xiphos, with the exception of Josh and Amy, were massacred by the combined forces of the Flood and the Covenant. The ordeal left Joshua in Hospital for several months as he suffered severe burns over 35% of his body. The mission would leave a lasting mental impression on Joshua, as it turned him from a devout Roman Catholic into a Nihilist. After Josh and Amy recovered from their wounds, ONI deemed it prudent to keep them under their wing and turned them into "Headhunters" along with the survivors of Team Sword. They would be folded together under the banner of VIOLET-III.
Appearance
Tall with tanned skin, black hair and brown eyes. Has scars across him body, most prominently from the top of his left eye down across his face, ending at his jaw.
Personality
In private, Joshua was a very introverted person - showing very little to no outward emotion towards either his teammates or to psychiatrists during his regular evaluations. This is due almost entirely to his parents; and his self-inflicted isolation during his youngest years. He did not make any attempt to form any friendships with any of his trainees. During class and free time, he would spend his time alone reading. However, a member of his squad, Amy, would make regular attempts to form a friendship with him. She did succeed. Josh would begin to talk to Amy, and would find they had been raised in similar circumstances, though Amy's upbringing was not as harsh as Joshua's. This would cause him to have a level of respect towards her, and would later open up fully to her. They would become firm friends, and Amy would often spend her time with Josh. He would secretly harbour romantic feelings towards her, but would not tell her about them for years. In the field, however, Joshua was a different person entirely. His introversion seemed to vanish under the stresses of combat; it left the trainers dumbfounded, but they later learned to not question it. He was a ruthless leader, and this quickly made him one of Gamma Company's best leaders, which in turn led to his team being selected by ONI, along with Team Sword to be cycled out temporarily, with the intention of having them re-cycled back into Gamma. This, of course, did not happen. During Cognatio Purgatiio, Xiphos was killed almost in its entirety; with only Josh and Amy surviving. The mission left Josh even more introverted, and Josh refused to speak to Amy for the duration they were in hospital. Many doctors believed he had developed post-traumatic vocal disarticulation, but this mutism was selective as Josh spent most of the time writing in his diary and musing over his mistakes. Despite Josh knowing he was little more than a "expendable" soldier, he was still deeply devoted towards the UNSC, and took great pride in the fact he had been trained to defend the UNSC to the death.

History
The United Rebel Front has a long and sordid history. Formed in 2501 by a group of Insurrectionist leaders, it initially enjoyed some success during the Insurrection. However, during the Human-Covenant War, both attacks from the Covenant and operations by the Office of Naval Intelligence broke the back of the organization, and it fell apart in 2552. However, in the post war, some groups have once again banded together under the name.
Iconography
Although the United Rebel Front has no true "uniform", almost all fighters are distinguished by their crimson armband worn on either arm. What rebels that are armed with actual uniforms and military grade equipment are still patchwork, with outdated or obsolete personal equipment and uniforms.

History
Task Force Gladiator is one of the UNSC's premier combat units, with experience from decades of active service. Centred around the 13th Fleet, the Task Force is composed of units recently transferred from the front lines of the Remnant war for 'peace and quiet' pursuing slavers, pirates and rebels. Their posting has been in response to increasing tensions in the Frontier, with Sangheili expansion, Jiralhanae raids and other threats. Based in Bismark Peninsula, the perform routine anti-piracy and anti-insurgency missions, as well as patrols and reconnaissance. The Task Force has many feared elements, such as not one but two Dreadnaughts, the laser armed UNSC Titan and the recently refitted UNSC Cole, the famed 7th Marine Expeditionary Force, veterans of both Earth and Doisac, and numerous special forces, including advance reconnaissance elements and counter-terrorist teams.
Iconography
The Task Force, for the most part, use standardised UNSC uniforms, bearing their names, rank and unit markings. Most of their gear use standardized camouflage patterns, though a few of their warships and vehicles sport unusual decorations, usually personal markings to differentiate. Some special forces units use non-standard items, such as disguises, enemy uniforms and civilian clothing.
Culture
The fighting men and women of Task Force Gladiator are tough, disciplined and well regimented. They have an enormous Esprit de corps and rarely break in battle. The Task Force prefer overwhelming force to both intimidate and destroy its opponents, but have enough special forces to weaken and damage an opponent before they even make direct contact.

Biography
As a junior naval officer Gallia Meir served with distinction during the Great War. The UNSC navy's crippled command structure and Meir's own impressive service record saw her rise quickly in the ranks during the postwar years that followed. A gift for logistics and decades of experience has landed Admiral Meir the command of one of the UNSC's premier expeditionary forces. However, Meir is hardly ecstatic about her latest command. She has served the UNSC faithfully, but has grown weary of military life and hopes to retire and spend more time with her family. Instead, she is now in command of a task force on the fringes of civilized space, tasked with monitoring the frontier for any trace of activity that might threaten Earth or her allies. Though less than enthusiastic about her command, Meir will carry out her duties with the same steadfast dedication she has exhibited during her long career.

History
The ominous Task Force 19 is a secretive element of the UNSC, assigned to the frontier. Task Force 19 is a composite group of ONI agents from Section 1, 2, 3 and 0, as well as members of the Signal Corps, Prowler Corps and ONI security teams. Originally brought together 2 years before the current increase in hostilities in the Frontier, they were assigned to provide blanket intelligence protection to the UNSC's interests in the region. This task force includes members of Section 1, to gather intelligence, whether by infiltrating networks, intercepting signals, decrypting data or infiltrating enemy organizations or positions, a group from Section 2 are there to control the flow of information, providing pro-UNSC/UEG propaganda while conducting psychological operations against belligerents, a Section 3 element to collect data on relics and technology discovered in the frontier, as well as controlling a small contingent of augmented commandos for field operations and assassinations, an element of the Prowler Corp (Consisting of 8 Prowlers of various classes) to provide reconnaissance, clandestine infiltration and unrestricted warfare, a contingent from the Signal Corps to provide communications across distant sectors and electronic/cyber warfare attack capabilities. Lastly, they have a unit of security operators, mostly recruited from veteran UNSC Marines, and use gear similar to special forces. Rumour has it there is also a cell from Section 0, the internal security element of the task force, tasked with observing and maintaining the security, confidentiality and legality of their operation, within reasonable limits.
Iconography
A few agents aboard ships and in their secure bases wear the standard uniform of the office, which is a black variant of the standard naval uniforms. Similarly, their protection element where black variants of special forces armour and uniforms. On the ground, many agents elect to use civilian clothing to disguise themselves.
Culture
Task Force 19 maintain an air of secrecy about their operations. Few outside the higher echelons of the region's command know they're there, fewer still know the day to day details of their operations. They rely on both their secretive nature and misinformation to avoid detection, but they will divulge information to Task Force Gladiator and other units in the region, as well as take command to perform operations on their behalf.

History
When diplomacy, coercion and brute force fail, the UNSC is usually left with one course of action. Spartans. Any company of Spartans spell bad news for the UNSC's enemies, but the Office of Naval Intelligence have specifically requested the presence of one particular unit. Blackjack Company. Lead by the battle hardened Ajax-013, Blackjack contains some of the galaxy's most proficient and deadly killers, including but not limited to, cyborg intelligence agents, insurrectionist super soldiers, genetically engineered assassins, unrepentant bandits and sociopathic killers. Blackjack is capable of both cover and overt action, and usually leave a trail of grisly corpses in their wake. What makes them so useful in the Frontier however are three of their key qualities. They are proficient in psychological operations, terrorising enemy forces into submission, in cybernetic warfare allowing them to gather intelligence and smash enemy coordination without even entering the field, and good working knowledge of criminal gangs, insurrectionist forces and ex-covenant terrorists.
Iconography
Blackjack company wears no matching uniforms outside of formal situations. Instead they usually employ MJOLNIR and other power exoskeletons, usually in a variety of non-standard liveries and camouflage. They do have a habit of marking their kills with symbols of their involvement, such as playing cards.
Culture
Blackjack company may have several large egos, competing teams and rag tag group of origins, but their unit cohesion is like nothing else. Spartans of Blackjack company never fail, never surrender and never divulge information, even under torture. Their devotion to one another is only matched by their ferocity and skill in combat.

  • HF Icon Character VirtueWarrior Spirit: Ajax is possessed of a spirit of a warrior, dedicated to following his orders. Many warriors from the Republic and allied Jiralhanae clans respect his viewpoint, and his skills, and the respect is usually mutual. Usually.
  • HF Icon Character VirtueFast Learner: Ajax's capability for absorbing information is almost unfathomable, and seemingly limitless. Capable of picking up and understanding advance concepts in a matter of hours, and capable of usually reverse engineering devices in surprising time.
  • HF Icon Character VirtueBattle-Tempered: Ajax has fought across hundreds of worlds, in dozens of campaigns, against every kind of enemy the UNSC has fought, and a few more. There are few situations Ajax can come across that he hasn't seen before.
  • HF Icon Character VirtueIncorruptible: Ajax's attempts to oust traitors from the UNSC has sometimes lead to these corrupt offices and officials attempting to bribe him. He responds in kind with summary execution.
Vice HF Icon Character Vice
  • HF Icon Character ViceDemon: Ajax has fought the Covenant for almost fifty years, and has made a name for himself, accounting for a great many heroes, generals, and Prophets in his time. The Covenant rarely forget such acts, and there have been numerous bounties and assassination contracts placed on his head. Such assassins usually meet a grizzly end.
  • HF Icon Character ViceMerciless: Ajax rarely shows mercy for his foes, and more often than not will exterminate every individual raising arms against him.
  • HF Icon Character ViceBloody-Handed: Whenever Ajax enters battle, he'll leave dozens of bodies in his wake, usually mutilated, broken or rendered down into bloodied chunks. He's also not afraid to use violent techniques for torture. This is usually a PR nightmare when fighting rebels, but when people see the mess he leaves, it usually frightens them into surrender and compliance.
  • HF Icon Character ViceBlack Cat: Ajax's foes have found him to be surrounded by a cloud of bad luck. This ranges from low level malfunctions of otherwise well maintained weapons to catastrophic failures of vehicles mid-flight. However, this bad luck doesn't affect Ajax himself, and more than once he's walked out of a burning wreck, completely unharmed.
  • HF Icon Character ViceTrust Issues: Ajax shares tight bonds of camaraderie with his fellow Spartans, and is loyal to a handful of officers that have earned his respect, usually directly in his chain of command. However, he is distrustful of UNSC personnel he isn't immediately familiar with or knowledgeable of.
Traits
  • Spartan: Through II/IV/Thunderbolt augmentation procedures, Ajax possesses incredibly strength, speed, resilience, intelligence and heightened senses.
  • Close Combat: Ajax is an expert in close quarters combat, where his strength and speed allow him to tear a foe to pieces, with almost comical ease.
  • Electronic Warfare: Ajax's ability to assault the electromagnetic spectrum is prodigious, to say the least. With little outside of his own armour, he can blot out a city block and send false signals of such sophistication they are impossible to distinguish from the real thing.
  • Hacker: Equal to his electronic warfare ability, Ajax's ability to slip into secured electronic systems then slip back out is incredible. Leaving no trace, few systems can resist one of his blunt force attacks, fewer still can resist his more eloquent methods of entry.
  • Quick Reflexes: A combination of genetic superiority, augmentation and MJOLNIR armour, Ajax's whip-fast reactions are impressive, even among his peers. Combined with his no nonsense and accurate fighting style and he can quickly disarm and disable a foe before they even realise there's a fight.
SPARTAN-013
Biography
One of the original Spartan-II members, Ajax fought for the entirety of the Great War and in the post war period he was active of 'clean up' operations. Regarded as difficult to control, but extremely thorough, he was deployed on a number of highly specialised operations, varying from data extraction to assassination and scorched earth operations. At the head of Crimson Team, his unit accounted for many victories and successful missions until moved to Reach ahead of Operation: Red Flag. Barely escaping the catastrophic battle that followed, he returned to Earth and departed to gather intelligence on Forerunner installations and then returned to Earth to help lift the siege. Following the war, he was part of the expeditionary force to break the Covenant at Doisac, being among the first humans to ever set foot on the world, and fought in the numerous bushfire wars afterwards, coming to command a certain degree of respect inside UNSC SOCOM and SPARTAN branches. Eventually given command of his own company, with control over mission protocol, recruitment and training, he has led them from victory to victory, leaving a bloody trail of the UNSC's enemies in their wake.
Appearance
Like most Spartans, Ajax has an extraordinarily athletic build, though like most he appears to be slightly slimmer than his strength would let on. He has a very pale complexion and numerous scars on his body. While his face looks gaunt, he has a strong chin and shaven black hair, with hazel eyes. Out of combat he usually wears olive drab BDUs, despite Blackjack's relaxed uniform. During formal situations he wears a black navy service dress uniform. In combat, he utilises Mk. VII CQB/CO armour, OV-13 Outer Plated vambraces, Over-Locking graves, CQB on his right shoulder, Mk VII on his left, a buckler on his right wrist, a breaching collar to protect his neck and on his helmet he has a command network module and Gen 2 hardened uplink. His whole armour is usually fitted with passive camouflage, but the unit emblem is painted on his right shoulder.
Personality
While most Spartans are fundamentally broken individuals, indoctrinated to have loyalty to the UNSC and to cooley perform all matter of operations, none more so than Ajax. Doggedly loyal to the UNSC and extremely violent in his termination of his enemies, his sociopathy is much more pronounced than that of his peers. Despite this, he's an extremely intelligent and cultured individual, fond of reading and expanding his own learnings. Fluent in several languages, conversational in several more, an excellent knowledge of advanced concepts such as plasma physics, xenobiology and FTL propulsion, and a working knowledge on how to maintain and repair some of the most advanced technology the UNSC provides, he is a technical genius, and his skills at electronic warfare and hacking are almost unparalleled. All this aside, he has extreme anti-social tendencies, and reacts poorly to those outside of the group of individuals he trusts, mostly limited to his fellow spartans, and immediate superiors.

History
The Fleet of Sacred Commitment is a large Republic fleet, charged with defending the eastern most expanses of their domain. A mixture of hardened veterans and newer warrior creches, the Fleet is capable, flexible and prepared for most eventualities. Formed at the behest of Marshall Iru 'Calnor, it was tasked with defending the far frontier of Sangheili space, which has been besieged by raiders, slavers, human intruders and most recently, a flanking element of the Storm Covenant navy. While in carries units raised from Sanghelios and the inner Sangheili worlds, it also utilises newer units raised from Republic worlds, and several protectorate forces, such as a cadre of Mgelekgolo, Unggoy support, Kig-Yar light infantry, and the human Tan'rith Legion.
Iconography
The Fleet of Sacred commitment uses the standard Sangheili colour coordination for military personnel, with different ranks possessing different gear, which is colour coordinated to show rank, venetrancy and role. Similarly, most armoured vehicles share a similar colour doctrine, of purple with an the iridescent sheen, though hue and shade varies from vehicle to vehicle, and similarly with warships. Protectorates wear armour designed for their unique roles and ranks, with personal colour schemes. Similarly, the Tan'rith Legion uses armour based on Sangheili and Kig-Yar armour, while modified for their physiology.
Culture
The fleet fosters equal amounts of friendly competition and camaraderie amongst its warriors. Older, more experienced warriors leader younger, recently recruited warriors on the field of battle. While perhaps a little less well trained than their UNSC allies, they make up for it in flexibility, ferocity and determination. Preferring aerial domination followed by overwhelming combined arms assaults, the Fleet has surprising flexibility thanks to its tithe of warriors from the Republic's protectorates, who have earned the respect of the Sangheili through their skill and valour in battle.

History
When the Covenant fell, most scrambled to pick the remains, to gain power, to secure their borders. One group, wished to discover exactly what happened. Intelligence experts, Oracle Masters, special forces and elders banded together to collect, compile and categorise information. Growing in power and strength, they came to call themselves the Justiciars, and came into conflict with many of the belligerent factions in the Sangheili civil war. Few in number, they allied with the Arbiter's faction and became his eyes and ears. Now the Justiciars are the sole intelligence gathering agency of the Republic, performing reconnaissance, infiltrating dissidents, tracking the enemy, sneaking into their electronic networks and prosecuting action against them. The Justiciar Cadre, "Poisoned Curse" was founded by intelligence expert Argo 'Shem to investigate increasing activity in the Frontier regions. Poison Curse possess specialists in intelligence gathering, counter-intelligence, infiltration, espionage, network intrusion and clandestine entry. It also has a number of stealth-enabled vessels, allowing them to perform deep space reconnaissance and quiet planet falls. LAstly, for protection and direct action, they have a small cadre of Spec Ops troops, capable of prosecuting Justiciar actions to gathering intelligence in the field. They also have a handful of Assassins as well, for performing top secret missions to eliminate their enemies.
Iconography
Justiciars do not wear any identifiable uniforms during field operations. They will usually wear civilian clothing, or nondescript armour, as well as standard armour of the Republic, to avoid detection. Their vessels are similarly unmarked. In the few instances they conduct direct action, they utilise highly advanced combat harnesses, with no markings.
Culture
A Justiciar's best friend is discretion. Most are quiet, unassuming individuals, who can blend into crowds as well as they blend into shadows. They don't thirst for glory, for honour or a pursuit of justice. Their desire is to gather information. They are individually excellent warriors, but prefer to beat a hasty treat rather than fight. However, they will fight yo the death when cornered, and will never divulge information, even under torture.

History
The Shadowed Night is one of the many 'shadow armies' operating out in the Frontier. In effect an extension of the USR Special Warfare Group, it functions similarly to UNSC Task Forces, with dedicated naval, special forces and regular force elements, creating a self sufficient army capable of strategic warfare and special operation strikes. The Shadowed Night is led by Kasr 'Revsar, one of the USR's top commanders and a feared individual, if not shrouded in mystery. Personally selected by the Imperator, Thel 'Vadam, for this command, Kasr quietly leads his forces in military operations against Covenant Remnants, raiders, criminals and other forces that threaten the republic from within and without. To this end, aside from a sizeable special forces complement, the Shadowed Night also have several legions of well trained warriors, a force of Kig-Yar Skirmishers and is one of the few military units to have an integrated Legion from High Promissory, the Ka'Tala Legion, one of the few human legions in the Republic.
Iconography
During conventional operations, they use standardised uniforms associated with the Republic, including colour coded rank and identifying markings. During black operations, these are purged from their uniforms and armour, and instead fight in matte colours, to limited camouflage. Similarly, their ships, weapons and vehicles are devoid of markings.
Culture
The discreet and clandestine nature means that many of their battles with not bestow them with honour, or glory, and their tales will never be told be poets or story tellers, but they fight on anyway, because each and every warrior knows what they do saves lives. Possessed of a strong sense of duty and a desire to protect those who can't protect themselves, the Shadowed Night rarely reveal themselves. Like larger Republic military formations, the Shadowed Night are flexible and capable of adapting to many situations and stratagems.

History
When the Covenant was broken at the battle of Doisac, those loyal to the Great Journey, and the Prophets fled. Licking their wounds, they subsisted as raiders, pirates, bandits. However, when the Prophet of Deliverance emerged on the scene, he rallied these groups into a single coherent faction. Utilising technology of the old Covenant, they grew in size and power, before returning to the galactic arena in 2566. Cutting a swathe towards UNSC space, they have similarly fought the Sangheili Republic and the members of the Jiralhanae Alliance. Many Jiralhanae and Kig-Yar clans have sworn allegiance as they have pressed onwards. A splinter from the main invasion, the Fleet of Infinite Glory have made headways through the neutral territory, and are steaming towards Jiralhanae frontier. Intent on gaining the allegiance or conquering every Jiralhanae Clan in their path, the Prophet of Allegiance intends to cut a deep swathe into human territory on the frontier, opening up a second front. Conquering the neutral sectors north of the Jiralhanae Frontier, they have dug into their position, building their strength and communicating with sympathisers, in preparation for their assault.
Iconography
The Covenant Remnant use the same iconography as their predecessors, the Covenant Loyalists. Their ranks are colour coded, with the turquoise Minor, dark blue Major, violet Ultra, red-purple Captain, gold armoured Captain Majors and blue coloured Captain Ultras, lead by red armoured Chieftains and golden armour for War Chieftains, along with numerous specialists, each with their own armour design and colour scheme. Civilians utilise clothes from Jiralhanae culture, usually light, leather items, combined with Covenant aesthetics and styles. The handful of Prophets leading them utilise customised gravity thrones and exquisite robes, with crowns integrating hologramatic technology. The Remnant give little care to the state of their slaves, who often wear the rags of the clothes they wore the day they were enslaved. It is not unusual for second generation slaves dress and groom themselves like their masters. Slaves working for high ranked members of the Fleet are usually more presentable, to show their rank and power.
Culture
When the Prophet of Deliverance took charge of the Covenant Remnant, his first proclamation was that of a change in religious doctrine. The Forerunners had positioned the Jiralhanae to be the protectors of the Prophets, and of the Great Journey. In turn, they had positioned the alien species of the cosmos to be the slaves of their Covenant, by conversion of by force, usually the latter. As such, their bloody march has resulted in the slaughter of enslavement of everybody in their path. On each colony they conquer they dig in, building fortifications, cities, populating it with their people and turning their economies and industries to their advantage. Slaves are downtrodden, whipped and worked for as long as they are able. Those slaves who have been converted are treated only a 'little' better.

History
The Storm Covenant was founded by a former affiliate of the Servants of Abiding Truth, Jul 'Mdama, as his instrument to halt human expansion and to defeat the traitors on Sanghelios. Founded as a fanatical cult, worshipping the Forerunner Promethean, the Ur-Didact. Part cult, part army, the Storm Covenant went from a few warriors to an army capable of fighting the UNSC and the Republic. Rather than a standing army, they prefer to utilise advanced tactics, misdirection and acts of fanatical terrorism. The Fleet of Divine Jurisdiction has firmly entrenched itself in the Fallen Seraphim and Blade's Thirst sector, designing elaborate defences and traps to halt an Republic attempt to dislodge them. The fleet however, is in a state of divide between more pragmatic warriors, seeking to topple the Republic and the UNSC, and fanatical zealots, who wish to venerate the Forerunners by destroying the heretical UNSC and Republic. To this end, the fleet is lead primarily by Fleetmaster Arko 'Lodam, a expert strategist and warrior, who certainly believes in the Forerunners, but prefers to seize destiny by his own hands. Contesting him is the leader of the Fleet's heart and minds is the Zealot Maer 'Ontom. A man of faith and conviction, his dedication to the cause is without question. He regularly recruits 'unofficial' warriors to persecute special one way missions, usually involving a vest laced with bombs and a crowded place. He's unafraid to send many believers to their doom, and even less afraid of challenging Arko on their current objective, and if it follows the path laid out to them by the Forerunners and their patron god the Ur-Didact.
Iconography
The Storm Covenant used a simplified variant of the Sangheili military hierarchy, with a blue minor, red commander, gold warrior and deep magenta zealot, as well as Unggoy minor, major, heavy and ultra, and Kig-Yar Minor, Major and Sniper. Their civilian settlers wear standard Sangheili styles, though most of them out out of touch with modern fashions fro Sanghelios. These include simple robes, sarongs, light clothing, etc. Slaves wear nothing aside from their collar and a brand.
Culture
The Storm Covenant is equal parts cult and army. Dedicated to usurping the Republic and conquering the human race, the Storm Covenant is fanatical, but aren't blinded by it. Many of their commanders are smart, driven and ruthless, while individual warriors tend to be devoted to the cause, and willing to fight to the death for their beliefs. While they possess significant numbers of Unggoy, Kig-Yar and Mgelekgolo reserves, it is mainly a corps of Sangheili warriors that make up the Storm Covenant. Their treatment of captured Humans and Republic citizens is particularly harsh, as they are treated at the level of an animal. Rather than using the three tiered indentured slavery system of the Sangheili, they prefer to herd their captives into labour camps, where they are stripped and branded. Referred to only by a number, they are beaten for any minor transgression and have an atrocious rate of attrition in the slave camps, which has prompted some Storm slave masters to breed them like animals. They aren't above massacring an entire civilian populace as a show of force, or committing heinous terrorist acts against an opponent either, such as suicide bombing, or deploying biological weapons.

Biography
When Uthul was a boy, his village was destroyed during the Sangheili Civil War. In order to survive, a starving Uthul took shelter in a Forerunner temple. When a full-grown Sangheili warrior discovered him, Uthul killed the warrior and began to eat his flesh. Warriors of the Storm Covenant found the young cannibal and were about to kill him for profaning the holy site when a zealot stayed their blades. Uthul was given a chance to atone for his grievous sin by becoming a warrior of the Storm Covenant and dedicating his soul to the pursuit of the gods' enemies. Should Uthul fail to kill even one of his targets, his life will be forfeit and his soul consigned to damnation. Driven by both devotion and fear, Uthul is the Storm Covenant's most lethal assassin, tasked with hunting down the movement's most dangerous enemies. The fear of losing his soul drives him to go to any lengths to complete his missions. Restrained by neither Sangheili honor nor universal restraint, Uthul does not care how much blood must be shed in order to kill his prey; he once used a nuclear device to level an entire city just because his target was inside it. Uthul leads a small team of Storm Covenant troops with skills he utilizes to kill his targets; it does not matter if Uthul himself is the one to fell the prey. As long as the target dies, his soul remains secure.

History
On a quiet world in Kilbren's Cluster, a collective of Kig-Yar traders settled an unassuming colony with one very special feature. While frigid at the north and south poles, it has a thin band of warm and habitable territory running across the centre. Rivers of liquid methane running from the north and south run down here, evaporating in the air creating valleys of methane pockets. Settling on the methane-free high ground, the Kig-Yar exploited this unusual geography by purchasing thousands of Unggoy slaves and breeding them in the low grounds to work in their factories and mines. Treating them as low animals, the Unggoy slaves were worked hard, whipped, fed on scraps and if they even stepped one foot out of line, they were killed. Growing weary, very, very quickly, a single figure rose up amongst them. Kor. Of unknown origin, Kor was a slave like the rest. However, unlike many Unggoy, he was eloquent, charismatic, driven and brave. Intending to liberate his brethren, he attracted followers that he arranged into covert cells, sabotage machines in the factories. As production output went down, the Kig-Yar cracked down on the Unngy slaves harshly, executing them at random. Rather than invoking fear, it only galvanised them. Rising up as one, they stormed the homes of their masters, washing over their settlements in a tide of frenzied claws and improvised weapons. Outnumbering their captors 300:1, the over ran them, killing every man, woman and child. Taking the settlement, they took the weapons of their former masters and took their ships, then entrenched their position. Koroku, unchallenged leader of the Unggoy, decided that They should never have to fear being made slaves and that they would make slaves of those who once sought to enslave them. Using the navigation systems on the captured ships, they learned the positions of the nearest trading partner, another Kig-Yar colony, and steamed off to invade it. The planet was a relatively undefended world, that relied on its unimportance to stay hidden. As the ships of their allies came close, little did they realise they were being invaded. From the holds of the ships, thousands of Unggoy poured out. Anybody that resisted was killed, and everybody else enslaved. Fortifying this colony, they began to switch production to making weapons and armour, before moving off to the next world. A human colony, their crime was trading with the Kig-Yar who enslaved them. These too were invaded and enslaved. Soon, they expanded, conquering more worlds. Now they stand at a significant empire of five worlds, attracting outside attention, with Koroku declared as their emperor.
Iconography
The soldiers of the empire use armour and colour coding similar to that of Covenant-era Unggoy. differing ranks receive different armour which are colour coded to rank or speciality. Only difference is they have several extra ranks, notable the gold coloured commander. Their civilians usually wear simple clothing, though the temperate nature of their capital means they don't need to wear many, if any at all. Unggoy of higher station in the Empire wear finer clothes to show their rank. The emperor himself wears extravagant clothes made of exotic materials. Slaves are reduced to animal station. Relieved of all of their articles of clothing, jewellery and personal effects, they are fitted with a heavy collar, shackles on their wrists and ankles and are branded with the logo of the empire. While most live and work in camps, those that work in the methane valleys and methane-filled homes of their masters must carry heavy breathing apparatus. Almost all of these slaves are Kig-Yar or Human.
Culture
The empire of Koroku are Unggoy supremacists. Both Kig-Yar and humans are beneath them and only fit to be their slaves. Once subject to slavery before, they are brutal in their enslavement of their enemies, reducing them to the status of animal, dehumanising them. Slaves cannot talk to one another, they are referred to only as slave or animal and must bow in the presence of their masters, to give them the height advantage. Unggoy of the empire are fervent, courageous and dedicated to their empire, and their emperor. His word is absolute and cannot be denied. Despite their involvement with slavery, the Empire has begun talks with Jiralhanae clans, to seek mutually beneficial alliances.

History
The history of the Tzxyzyl Hive begins with Queen Tzxyzyl. Exiled by civil war on Palamok, Tzxyzyl and her hive boarded their hive ships and set off into space, to find a new home. Drifting for several years, they discovered a tropical world populated by a human colony. Making landfall, the initially ignored their human neighbours, until the colonists, who at first treated this like a raid, hiding in their shelters, began to approach the hive under construction. The Queen, wishing to take to chances, ordered immediate action having her soldiers swarm the settlement in a bloody and violent reprisal. Those closest to the hive, carrying a weapon or just trying to resist were flawed alive by a swarm of claws. The rest were rounded up and dragged back to the Hive, to be used as slaves. Expanding at a meteoric rate, the Hive spread across the world, before colonising an uninhabited world, then attacking another human colony, then a Kig-Yar colony. Building in numbers, they've turned their attention to building warships and weapons, while exporting raw materials, raiding with neighbouring Kig-Yar clans, often buying rare materials or slaves to add to their current stock. They've also raided more heavily fortified colonies to increase their slave stocks, including a number of raids where they've taken only children, babies and pregnant females, preferring them to adults. They've come into contact with the empire of Koroku, and for the moment they have peace, but each is building in strength and numbers, and its only time until one or the other launches an attack.
Iconography
The hive utilises no iconography or uniforms. Drones have little need for any kind of protective gear or clothing thanks to their tough exoskeleton. Despite this, the queen wears a few vestments to display her rank and position. These are crafted from finely wrought precious metals and rare materials, woven together. Slaves are marked with pheromones usually produced by members of the Hive, so as to mark them as property of the hive. Due to the Yanme'es intolerance for individuality, slaves are stripped of all their possessions, and thus spend their lives unclothed.
Culture
Each and every single drone, from all castes, are fearless and utterly devoted to the queen and her hive. They work in concert with seamless unity, completing group tasks such as mining mineral deposits, working on a production line, or building starships with ease. Anybody that threatens them is met with brutal and uncompromising retaliation. They've significantly augmented their workforce with slaves, harvested from a variety of sources. As far as they care, the slaves are simply more members of the hive, albeit slightly undisciplined. Captured slaves are divided up into working groups and placed to work on menial jobs, such as arms factories, working on hive maintenance, cultivating the food or working aboard their ships. Those that prove themselves are elevated to more important jobs, such as tending to the eggs, larvae or brood, or serving a mature male, or the most trusted and loyal working in the queen's chambers, usually reserved for long serving drones. Slaves are kept in line with shock staffs, which mean the Yanme'e overseers don't have to get close to provoke their slaves to work. An assigned overseer is usually fitted with a device to translate her orders into the slave's language, allowing them to order the slaves. These slaves are forcibly bred, and their offspring is separated from them, and raised elsewhere in the hive as loyal members of the hive. While technically not slaves, they are essentially working in the exact same role, the only difference is these slaves are much more loyal, and indoctrinated into the hive. New borns and slave children are fed a small amount of royal jelly, at least for a few weeks, in the belief it ties them to the hive, though it likely makes no difference. Captured slaves are kept in cells when not working, while Indoctrinated slaves live in a separate habitat ideal for their physiology. Indoctrinated slaves are also used to bolster the military forces of the hive, carrying heavy weapons not used by any except Berserkers and utilising their small amount of ground vehicles.

History
The Libertatem Populi (Freedom to the people) are a Insurrectionist organization operating on the fringes of human territory for a number of years. Originally drafted from disillusioned colonists on the frontier of UNSC territory, the yoke of the UNSC's ever increasing presence out there beginning to strain them, since many had gone this far out to avoid the UNSC. Under the belief that slavers and raiders only hit these colonies because of the UNSC presence, many rallied to the cause that quickly spread. Disorganized and shoddy at first, they were racked by internal power struggles that kept them off the UNSC's radar. However, when Abner Self took control in 66, he began to organize them into a formidable force. While their training and gear wasn't excellent, they became much more focused, from casual sabotage of the military-industrial complex, guerilla assaults, clandestine assaults and terrorist actions. Though they have no fixed base of operation, their multiple cells, who know nothing of each other. They prosecute operations in numerous sectors across the frontier, including Gamma Sequani, Hart's Nest, Attica Theta, Bismark's Peninsula, Nexus, Hydra Major and Minor, and Hades Stream.
Iconography
While Libertatem Populi use distinct imagery in propaganda material, mostly revolving around a closed fist hoisting a ring of stars, their actual field operatives use no distinct uniforms. They utilise no uniforms in battle, preferring civilian clothing, or ad-hoc gear. This makes them difficult to pick out and identify in a crowd, allowing them to quietly infiltrate a position and escape as easily.
Culture
The LP have a wide range of people, from different races, religions and backgrounds. They have been united by a singular hatred of the UNSC, the government and corporations that support it, and more recently, the Sangheili Republic. Anti-government fighters, most reject any sort of command from outside their chain of command, and their zeal and determination allows them to carry out horrendous crimes in their pursuit of a free frontier.

History
Watchtower Corporation is one of the larger corporations with its claws dug into the Frontier. Founded just before the end of the war, Watchtower has grown large and powerful by manufacturing weapons and armoured vehicles, household products, construction, cybernetics, advanced artificial intelligences and mercenary forces. With their headquarters in the Korprulu sector, they shift product across the entire frontier. Their business practices can be described as 'illegal' at best, as they often to sell to anybody willing to pay, including slavers, raiders, pirates, insurrectionists and other undesirable factions. Their mercenary forces, used to assault their opponents in a clandestine fashion, or secure valuable resources, are made up of UNSC veterans, who are skilled, experienced, well armed and brutal.
Iconography
Those working in the offices of Watchtower Corp. are expected to dress 'business smart', except on casual Fridays. Their significant mercenary forces dress in standardised uniforms, giving them a degree of cohesive appearance. Given that they have three individual mercenary subsidiaries under one roof, each one has different uniforms, and usually with slightly different gear, and individual badges for recognition. The small collection of Unggoy slaves that work for them are equipped with simplistic methane rebreathers and some protective overalls. Their products are business sites are marked with the company logo, a modified version of the eye of providence.
Culture
Watchtower Corporation is ruthless, driven and dedicated to making a profit. Internal politics are cut-throat and external relations are violent to say the least. They don't work well with others and much prefer to destroy their competition through espionage and sabotage.

Biography
The Watchtower Corporation usually prefers to keep its hands clean, tearing into the competition through legal loopholes and savvy business practices when possible and through carefully hired intermediaries when necessary. But sometimes a stronger message must be sent, and it is in times like these that the corporation turns to Chief of Security Victor Rojas. A former Marine, Rojas served on the front lines of the Human-Covenant War. When the conflict ended and the species of the galaxy returned to business as usual, Rojas realized that violence itself was the galaxy's business as usual. Heading up a small but lethal private force equipped with the latest in military hardware, Rojas is only dispatched to "protect company interests" when the Watchtower finds its investments critically threatened. Some more intrepid law enforcers have attempted to pin charges of brutality and excessive force on Rojas and his men, but the Watchtower's paralegal team is always on hand to make sure the Chief of Security--along with the CEOs who sign his paychecks--remain on the right side of the law.
Personality
Victor isn't a psychopath, not really. He just enjoys his work, and his work happens to include gunning down anyone dumb enough to pose a real threat to the Watchtower Corporation. He didn't sign his contract because he wanted to sit at a desk filling out paperwork and has little patience for the bureaucratic system his violence perpetuates. Fortunately, his corporate masters understand his tastes and are more than happy to cater to them as long as he keeps getting the job done.

History
The Koldat Keep are one of the oldest surviving Sangheili clans, and long serving in the hierarchy of the Covenant. Recent upsets on Sanghelios, as well as diminished power following the fall of the Covenant has forced the Koldat Keep to leave Sanghelios, searching for pastures new. The Koldat Keep have little love for the newly formed Republic, it's council of the Arbiter, but would rather isolate themselves than enter conflict with them. They also have little love for the Covenant, since their close association with it ruined there reputation and diminished their influence. Out on the frontier the majority of their dealings are with other independent Keeps scratching a living out there, Kig-Yar traders across the border and even humans in the neutral territories. They've also been one of the first Keeps to accept human serfs, which has divided opinion among clan members and outside observers. This does not mean that their interests align with humans as of this moment, as their close proximity to several human paramilitary groups has invoked armed responses. They're only one bad day away from occupying one of the neighbouring human colonies.
Iconography
Koldat Keep still use recognised rank colouration for infantry, easily recognisable with most ex-Covenant factions. Unique to the Koldat Keep is that most of their infantry, armour, aircraft and warships have the Keep motto imprinted on them. Armour used is slightly outdated, but nonetheless effective armour associated with Great War-era units. Civilians usually dress in traditional clothing, robes and wraps common on Sanghelios before they left, though they've grown out of touch with common styles. Despite the Keep's over all wealth, they are not especially fanciful in their dress. Serfs issued clothing varies upon their station. Serfs who work the land are usually issued a basic Hakasma, while those working in the Keep or close to the inner members wear more detailed ones. The families of serfs usually wear Norista or Harima garments, or eschew clothing.
Culture
The Koldat Keep have survived this long by political isolationism. They rarely become involved in regional conflicts and rarely meet with diplomats seeking alliances. Their only interest is to regain their lost power. Only when they are strong enough to deal with the Republic on their own terms will they open themselves back to diplomacy. Koldat Keep have a love hate relationship with their neighbours, finding them to be excellent trade partners, and refugees making good serfs, but internal strife and antagonism from extremist groups make them difficult neighbours. Many parts of their culture has changed little from leaving the homeworld and remains much the same as it has been for centuries.

Traits {{{traits}}}
Biography
Saln 'Koldat grew up during the years of the Great War, growing up with tales of bravery and honour committed by his family if defence of the Covenant. Desiring nothing but to serve in the army, he signed up at the youngest possible, and saw his first action in 2543. Earning commendation after commendation, He was set to become a fieldmaster, the youngest of any in the praised Koldat Keep. However, when the schism broke out, and the Prophets betrayed the Sangheili, the Koldat found themselves cast out by their brethren, for their close association with the traitors. After his father committed suicide, Saln' lead his people from their ancestral homes to carve a new life, beyond the growing Republic. Learning leadership the hard way out on the frontier, he defended his Keep many times from enemies, and forged trade agreements nearby worlds, including humans. When human refugees ended up at their doorstep, hungry and cold, Saln agreed they would employ them, despite disagreements from his council of elders. In recent years, Saln has attempted to restore the power of his Keep, quietly gathering strength.
Appearance
Saln is of average height and build, but looks older than he is. Well set and with blue eyes, he wears ornamental armour based upon a General Harness.
Personality
Saln's recent years of hardship and rigorous tests have changed him from a bold warrior to a cautious and reluctant leader. While he willingly agrees to beneficial trade agreements with his neighbours, he does not like to get involved in their politics, which has resulted in him losing potential allies. He also does not tolerate threats against his people, even idle ones, and has been close to armed response in the past. Saln is also fearful the Republic may, suddenly, turn on them, at a moment's notice. This has not stopped him from defending his Keep against numerous threats, and his absolute refusal to compromise the integrity of his people.

Biography
One of the Koldat Keep's chief warriors, Vez 'Koldat is both a capable commander and a skilled warrior in his own right. As a young man, Vez saw his keep fall from grace during the civil war and the sting of being driven from Sanghelios still rankles him. He is paranoid of the surrounding factions, believing that they are looking for any chance to strike and seize Koldat's holdings and power. He believes that the Republic is looking to stamp out his bloodline for good and sees recent USR activity as evidence of this ill-will. Vez believes that Koldat must take a more active role in the surrounding regions of space or be cut off and crushed by the enemies lurking beyond its borders.
