"Fate of the Gods"
―Motto of the UNSC Ragnarök

The Ragnarök-class Dreadnaught was the succesor to the aging Myth-class Dreadnought. It sported a highly unusual and distinctive appearance, reminiscant of Covenant Assault Carriers, with three distinct hull sections. One section was the massive linear section, mounting the Super MAC gun and the primary engines, while the two flanking sections held the secondary engines and turreted Heavy MAC guns. On the main hull two keel and two spine mounted guns provided all round protection. The ship was at first ridiculed at its launch, on account of its strange appearance and its lesser armament compared to the Myth, but it was much more agile and faster, along with a potent shield generator. as a result, it quickly became favoured over the Myth and soon entered production, with six requested by the UNSC. The vessel became a sign of the UNSC's new might and power, with one heading up each armada.

UNSC Comments

"It looks like a Covenant ship, and shielded like one too. Why didn't we have these earlier?"

"I remember when the Whitcomb got hit at Doisac, she was left a mess, crippled and broken, she never fought again. That was a single energy projector hit. This however, is no longer a problem."
