Rak (Oracle Code: K1-M0910-184) is a Kig-Yar sniper of the Covenant army during the Human-Covenant War. Born in the lower districts of High Charity, he was indoctrinated and conscripted into the ranks of the Covenant war machine. Serving across multiple campaigns, Rak may have had the opportunity for greatness, but his self-serving and lack of respect towards his superiors kept him permanently constrained to the rank of Minor.

Remaining loyal to the Jiralhanae when the Great Schism split the Covenant, Rak would make his escape upon learning of the Prophet of Truth's death at the very end of the war. Taking up scavenging and some hired mercenary work, Rak would find himself drifting throughout the galaxy until he enlisted into Jaeter's militia for steady work. Since then, he has proven to be a reliable, if pessimistic and condescending, member of the colony's military.

Rak would fight across many worlds during the Human-Covenant war but Reach would be his first large scale engagement.

Physical Attributes

Appearance

From the outset, Rak differs little from the other Ruuhtian subspecies. His build is not particularly bulky or lanky when compared to the norm, and even his skin colour conforms with a dirty brown. More individual characteristics, like his blue hair and black hands, aren't unheard of in his subspecies. The only natural difference is his grey eyes, which lack the pigment that is responsible for giving the Kig-Yar their yellow or purple-pink eyes. His lifestyle has given him very prominent tan marks, with only his arms, head and parts of his chest and abdomen being radiated darker than the rest of his species. Rak also had a number of different scars across his body, including a massive diagonal scar that was caused from a Flood combat form.

Personality

Can be seen as condescending and overbearing at times, Rak also has the habit of picking fights with others (Especially Humans) mostly over nothing although over the years he would grow mostly out of it, apart from certain situations.
