Rasputin was a traitor to the UNSC, being discharged before his first battle after being discovered to be underage. After being dishonourably discharged, Rasputin stole a Longsword, and would eventually lead a large force of Human traitors and became a key figure in the UFF, a united Rebel army.

Rasputin's mother was a UNSC traitor and had been sent to a isolated Siberian prison by Leon Polski, where Rasputin was born in an overcrowded prison cell in, his mother died soon after, and Rasputin never met his father. Rasputin thrown onto the streets soon after birth, were he was picked up by a homeless man, who raised him for the first five years of Rasputin's life, using Rasputin as a form of getting extra money out of the government. Eventually Rasputin's new father died of a stroke, but told Rasputin where he came from, the jail.

So a young Rasputin ventured back to his place of birth, and when the guards found him living in an empty cell, they agreed to let him remain there, and ended up treating Rasputin similar to a pet. When Rasputin was 14, he left the prison, and spent several months trekking from the various cities in search of work, usually working as a mechanic.

When Rasputin reached 16, he heard that the army gave free food, and shelter, and had reasonable (very good for him) pay, so Rasputin attempted to join the army.

Lying about his age he was allowed into the UNSC, trained, and sent to fight the Covenant. During the voyage, Rasputin was doing cleaning files on the computer log, when he discovered his mother's file, outraged he smashed the computer before returning to his quarters.To make matters worse, a suspicious lieutenant, continously questioned Rasputin about his origins, until he let slip his birth year, and was dishonourably discharged for being underage.

When the UNSC tried to move him to a proper transport to return to Earth, Rasputin attacked his guards,smashing ones head into a wall, and elbowing his other in the face, and fled to a nearby vacant longsword.

The UNSC decided against giving pursuit as Rasputin, as the Covenant had just started their attack upon the UNSC, allowing Rasputin to escape.

Rasputin travelled to several UNSC controlled planets, gathering up a following of both civilians, and soldiers who were in his position. He soon led an assault on a prison ship, and freeing the human prisoners only started building up his own personal army. The guards and Covenant prisoners were ejected into space.

Raputin would eventually join, and later lead the Neo-Nazi group Combat 18, before it became part of theUFF or United Freedom Force, which sort to topple the UNSC.

During a meeting with weapon dealers, White & Wong, he came across the SBVS leader Vee London, who had also been invited their in an effort by the weapon dealers, to see if they would attempt to "out buy" each other. Vee would become a stoutfast ally of Rasputin, who called her help in dire situations.

Rasputin has also stolen much equptment from the UNSC and has "upgraded" his prison ship to include many more weapons, and more advanced tracking systems.

==Role in Battle of the Second Ark==

Rasputin jointly led the UFF in battle on the second ark, with Kaneda Tetsuo. Their forces worked for the Shield corporation as mercenaries. Rasputin and a small team f UFF soldiers also attacked a crashed UNSC ship, which turned out to havebeen infected by flood. Rasputin's force held them back long enough for their ship to double back, to provide support and pick them up to quickly take them back to their base. Rasputin was also involved in a battle with Astuto forces on the Ark, as they were meant to capture the Astuto second in command (recently turned commander) Gencage, though she escaped the battle, the UFF quickly took down the Astuto forces, and Rasputin killed a Guardian, soon they had captured a large amount of the Astuto force, when they got a call stating that their forces were under attack by Nogard, who had until now been their ally.

In the Alternate Reality, seen in Halo: What If?, Rasputin is now a member of the Human Rebels, and bodygaurd of Jeff Valea. His character has vastly changed, now to one with a great sense of honour. Rasputin joined the rebels, as under Covenant Command, his mother a prisoner of war, died in a Covenant Prison, where Rasputin was also born.

Rasputin was a nihilst from a young age, but has recently after gathering a "Traitor Force" has shown sadistical behaviour, as well as a Neo-Nazist quality. Rasputin will also stop at nothing to destroy the UNSC and Leon Polski, who he blames for his painful upbringing and mothers death.
