SPARTAN-226 also known as Lee was born on 2511 and grew up on Earth. He was spotted as a possible candidate for the SPARTAN-II Project. Like all other candidates SPARTAN-226 was administered the coin test by Dr.Halsey in which she noticed that he had an explosive personality and wasnt interested by the coin and just wanted going round pretending to drive a tank and blow things up. Consequently he was chosen for the project as she thought that they could use that sort of fasination with explosives. Upon arrival at training SPARTAN-226 was paired with two other SPARTAN's SPARTAN-333 and SPARTAN-321. During his years of training 226 showed great talent.

Andrew-333: 226 and 333 were best friends through out training but they were also rivals. They would always push each other to be better and Sergeant Major Byrne saw that.
