SPARTAN-103 or Jake is a Spartan II. He is well known for being at the 3 battles of Installation 03 (Yuhi33).

Up until the Battle of Sigma Octanus IV nothing is known about his history, other than being selected into the Spartan II Program.

[edit] Battle of Sigma Octanus IV

He was present at the Battle of Sigma Octanus IV where he fought alongside John-117 against several groups of Elites. He was then taken onboard a Marathon-class Cruiser called the UNSC Triumphant Honor. Onboard he was greeted by Vice Admiral Hudson Stye who was in charge of Battle Group Foxtrot. They all eventually jumped to Reach.

He along with Hudson's battle group fought briefly at Reach. SPARTAN-103 was able to destroy a CCS-class Battlecruiser by placing a HAVOC Nuclear Warhead on the portside completely being undetected. Battle Group Foxtrot then jumped to a random location with several Covenant ships following.

[edit] First Battle of Installation 03 (Yuhi33)

He was in Battlegroup Foxtrot when it jumped to Installation 03 (Yuhi33). Several Covenant ships followed however. He and several other Marines discovered the Silent Cartographer and found the location of the Control Room, and also learned what the Covenant believe the ring can do. He then flew to the Control Room unaware that Banshees were following him. He then arrived at the Control Room and was greeted by 49 Repetative Jolt who teleported him to the Library. At the Library he found the Index but 49 Repetative Jolt stopped him from taking it, saying that there was no Flood outbreak and no need for activation. He was then teleported back to the Control Room and killed several Elites there. At the same time Marines at the Library accidently released the Flood and 49 Repetative Jolt teleports SPARTAN-103 once again to the Library to get the Index. He however doesn't retrieve it and instead gets onboard Resa 'Nasamee's ship to stop him from retrieving the Index. Eventually he was able to kill Resa 'Nasamee and fly back to report the situation to Vice Admiral Stye.
