The Self Propelled Anti Capital Ship Missile Artillery-II Thunderer is the Vorenus Imperium's mobile anti-capital ship missile launcher.

Description

The Thunderer looks like a large truck with two armored cabs in the front and a single missile mounted on the rear, mounted on large wheels with run-flat tires, rather like a 20th century Scud missile truck. The left of the two armored cabs houses the driver and the right houses the missile operator. The missile is kept on the back of the truck until it is raised into firing position. The missile itself is can be launched from the ground mount up to an enemy capital ship in low orbit, although it is often fired at targets that have already entered the atmosphere. The missile is armed with a plasma charge warhead that is capable of peircing shields more easily than the UNSC CORROSION missile, and is capable of doing severe damage to an unsheilded vessel's hull. The Thunderer has proven particularly effective against Necros Gorgon-class Assault Ships. In addition to targeting warships, the missile can be used as a ballistic surface to surface missile, for use against heavy fortifications and Necros super walkers. The Thunderer is usually kept in the rear area, as the vehicles crew has no defense against infantry except their personal weapons and no defense against armor or aircraft.
