Stanley was born to a middle class couple in the suburbs of Falaknuma. He was conscripted at the age of nineteen under the articles of the Reformation Act of 2555 and found that he enjoyed a military life. He rose quickly in to the Special Forces and soon applied to become an ODST.

Stanley was one of the few ODSTs on R&R when the Skirmish on Falaknuma began. He fought alongside Marines under the command of Colonel Marina Morley and earned a bronze star for his actions.
