Station AIs are the lowest form of AI, usually being restricted to menial tasks such as crunching data, monitoring data networks, opening doors, controlling power flows, etc. They are found in almost every UNSC installation, but becuase they are considered inferior to even "Dumb" AIs, they are rarely noticed. Station AIs however, if given enough processing power and storage, can expand from their original programming to becomming something similar to smart AIs. Though usually programmed with specific purposes in mind, can easily expand if they are given enough processing power to think about other things than there original task. The best known case of this is the AI Andrea, who flourished under the Outpost Station Rio's huge data network. Another lesser known case is the AI Arthur. It is unknown how long these "advanced" station AIs last, but most suspect that it is similar to the lifespan of a normal human. They are not quite as creative as "Smart" AIs, but can crunch data at much faster speeds. They are also highly capable of interacting with humans and learning about emotions, as well as feeling them.
