The Stingray-class Amphibious Assault Ship is a specialised stealth ship for supporting special forces in amphibious raiding missions. The Stringray is heavily armoured and well armed, allowing it to preform a variety of missions, even surface attack. The Stingray consists of a forward amphibious loading deck, with space for ten vehicles and two LCACs ready for launch. In the mid area of the ship is the aircraft hangar, with two elevators capable of ascending the aircraft up for launch. At the rear of the aircraft is a submersible hangar capable of launching Dolphin-class Landing Craft. The boat has four 40mm railgun turrets for point defence and surface warfare, 20 ready to launch surface attack missiles, two batteries of anti-aircraft missiles and two forward facing torpedo tubes, capable of firing guided torpedoes against surface or sub-surface contacts.

While the Stringray has a variety of stealth technologies to ensure it is difficult to detect, such as anti-sensor coating, sensor resistant hull design and low profile, its true stealth feature is its capability to submerge, allowing it to evade most attacks and sensor capabilities, allowing it to come within hundreds of metres of a shore a ascend to launch aircraft and LCAC, or stay submerge and launch Dolphin-class Landers.

The Stringray is most often used to support special forces units who need to participate for long periods of times in planetary operations without the use of a spacecraft, and close to shore positions. To this end, it usually carries the necessary supplies to operate away from friendly positions for extended periods of time. It can also house more regular forces of Marine personnel to provide support operations against enemy forces, or operate in recover roles.
