UNSC Chicago CA-1060 UNSC CA-1060 Chicago was a Defiance Class Heavy Cruiser produced in mid 2538. She was sent on operation BLACK EYE with other Defiance class heavy cruisers, but went MIA mid operation and was never heard from again.
Years later in 2571, her remains were found, having crashed and sunken in a body of water on Installation 05 by a research team. It had been there for quite some time upon its discovery. Cole Protocol had been enforced. There was no sign of the crew or the ships lifeboats; the ship was an unmanned derelict by the time it crashed on the halo ring.
It is also unknown why the ship was apparently abandoned as there was little visible damage to speak of.
