"Quiet. Efficient. Ruthless. They are, my dear admirals, one of the key tools to maintaining peace."
Codename: SURGEON, 2554.

VIOLET-III was a Headhunter unit from SPARTAN-III Company, Gamma. It was an elite Headhunter unit consisting of Teams Xiphos and Sword. Delta Company's Team Boson was briefly folded into the unit in a reserve and support role during the conflict with the Imperium of Clarity. The unit was used for Deep-Strike Missions behind Covenant and Insurrectionist lines. Furthermore, VIOLET-III was also used to assassinate UNSC officials who were suspected of treason but were too well-connected for normal judicial proceedings to take place. The unit garnered a unique reputation, often talked about in abstract terms by the men and women on the front lines, but often dismissed as rumours.

Fireteams[]

Team Xiphos[]

"With Daedalus and Hera we have two dispassionate, ruthless and efficient Spartans capable of working alone for extended periods of time; we have lost contact with them for months such is their dedication to completing their mission."
Derek Frendsen

Team Cloidem[]

"Aeneas and Celestial are quite the opposite: explosive, blunt - they are among our sharpest tools in snuffing out the Covenant Remnants excursions into our all too poorly defended exterior."
―Derek Frendsen

Team Boson[]

"I did not have the appropriate time to acclimate the children of Team Boson, much the same as Duceppe. They were ill-prepared as Spartans and their lack of discipline I suspect was the primary cause of their dysfunction and the two incidents of desertion. Despite that, I hope what they learned from VIOLET-III will serve the unit's remaining members well into the future."
―Derek Frendsen
