Chronological and political information
  [Source]

Veral T'ramee was perhaps the longest-serving Ossoona in the Covenant's history. Born the son of a councilor, Veral's youth was much different from that of most Sangheili, raised amid the diverse cultures mingling on High Charity. He joined the Ministry of Penance as he neared adulthood, a branch of bureaucracy dealing with the silencing of heretics. While he was seen as a promising Inquisitor, when he came of age Veral followed tradition and entered the Covenant army in service of the Prophet of Mercy. Already known to Mercy for his skill working discreetly and fame as a duelist on High Charity, he was quickly commissioned as an "Eye of the Prophets" and set to work gathering information on treacherous Kig-Yar groups. His work changed only slightly with the outbreak of the Human-Covenant War, routinely preceding attack forces in the Outer Colonies. After the end of the Harvest Campaign, Veral was brought together with four other capable warriors by Mercy to form the Lance of Unseen Influence, the first team of Ossoona.

Functioning as its vice commander under Vract 'Aeramee, Mercy ordered them to infiltrate insignificant or questionable objectives. Ultimately, Mercy abandoned his hopes of finding something unknown to the Lance, and they were disbanded. T'ramee, however, remained an Ossoona loyal to the Prophet up until the Battle of Reach, given a command of his own with the rank of Ultra. There, he led the incursion into CASTLE Base, managing to capture Isaac-039 and Vinh-030 after they'd been buried by explosions. He executed Isaac, and captured Vinh to be publicly executed on High Charity, but circumstances prevented them from returning immediately. Thus, she was still imprisoned when the Great Schism occurred. Veral entered the brig to kill Attilus, the Jiralhanae he'd assigned as her guard, and during the course of their fight he struck the shield door controls. Before he was able to deal a killing blow to Attilus, Vinh used Veral's own sharply-pointed helmet to decapitate him, bringing his life to a sudden and violent end.
